The tides are turning. Governments around the world are following Australiaās lead in banning children from social media a.k.a. āKYC social media.ā The only real solution is decentralised social media, so I expect a huge influx to Nostr in the coming months and years.

Only way to divert from the centralising system is moving your time and attention from the centralising system to the free world. I did it with my money then most of my time/work and now finally my attention.

You know whatās weird? I announced my new podcast on here this morning. Itās the only place I put the link to Fountain. 49 downloads so far and 21 of them are from fountain. People are clicking through but not coming back to comment. Shows thereās more traffic than engagement.

Iām honestly not a fan which I know is an unpopular opinion in the Bitcoin space but I think the UX is clunky and Iāve had trouble getting things linked up right. Happy to be a part of the ecosystem as it grows though. I know theyāll keep improving.
Yeah I considered/am considering moving ours to Fountain, but also not completely convinced it is the right move quite yet. Then again we are fairly random in our topics and guests, which is one of the reasons we are waiting for now. Glad you are here though, and will check out your pod as well.

First episode is only 14 minutes on perpetual war financing and how fiat enables it. Next week Iām trying one thatās a little longer.

Yeah, not new news, but thinking alongside my own views. For a first podcast, I give it a 7-7.5/10. Good subject, speaking clearly and easy to understand, no ums and uhs. Better than I would do, I am sure.
A suggestion though, there is often the sound of your breath at the end of many sentences, I'd assume that is a mixing fix or maybe one of those little screens that people put between their mouth and the mic? Not really sure, and don't want to be negative at all. Looking forward to the next episode.
I'd assume it being you're first time, you were a bit nervous. Like with any new skill... Again though, well done. Room to improve, but no one aces a new skill their first try. Good job, you got off zero unlike so many of us! šš
Dude! That is such good feedback. I really appreciate it and Iāll try to improve on it in future episodes. The second ones already recorded but Iāll sit for the third and try to take some breaks in the recording. I recorded this one standing and found myself oddly out of breath as I was trying to maintain the cadence (even though Iām in reasonably good shape). Probably nerves. My editing skills are crap so I am trying really hard to record in one cut which means no pauses to catch my breath. The fix there is I need to learn to use Descript better. Iām committed to making it better with every recording. Episode 2 has a transcript so thatās a little improvement already.

Great feedback you are getting. One other tip and an offer, shut down the fans/HVAC etc.. some background noise on the cast like a hum, and consider hanging some blankets in the space to deaden echo. If you want to I would be happy to do a quick edit on your audio to help clean it up, not sure I can do it go-forward but happy to show what can be done. Send me a message if you want to do that, I use Izotope RX11 for audio and can usually get stuff pretty clear. Still really enjoyed it and just keep going! Try to pick a release time frame and stick to that as well. Will really help people to know when to look for the next drop.
