What a weird ass doomer energy to not believe in bitcoin enough to see that if someone was exposed on nostr for the first time that they’d fall in love with it.
#Nostr allowed many to feel #bitcoin more real and "tangible".
Some used it for the first time not just to stack sats in a cold wallet, many bitcoiners OG discovered and tried #lightning for the first time.. this is so underrated.

Nostr content needs to move beyond Bitcoin to attract more nocoiners. I've been engaging almost exclusively with non Bitcoin, non financial content for this reason.
Everyone here today has the opportunity to be the foundation of whatever community they want to grow on nostr. Send out that signal and the nostr algorithm will find you.
Move to where the future is going. Bitcoin and nostr. Post and live as if they are both already globally adopted. Don't waste your most scarce resource, your time, promoting either one. Sheep wake up when the wolves get danger close. The evils of this world will do the purple and orange pilling for us.
The more involved I become, the more I look at my notes as a personal diary that I can pass on to my kid(s), preserved on my self hosted relay for as long as they want to remember me without the need to trust any corporation, data profiteering models, etc. All the other stuff being built on nostr is just extra.

In a world where going viral and making money has become a top priority, there will be a tiny few who genuinely want to express themselves freely and unconditionally. They will hopefully also be problem solvers to humanity’s biggest challenges.

Zaps made it easy to get started, to actually have some bitcoin, that was the key. Once you start looking into it, Bitcoin sells itself.
In January last year I had never held a coin. Now I've got a Bitaxe being delivered today 😂

I was fortunate. I've used Linux and open source software for a long time. I know what a GitHub is. I was already familiar with how keys work from ssh. This is some basic knowledge I think made using Nostr and Bitcoin easier for me.
