I was today years old when I learned that bitcoin is opposed to capitalism

I think he meant Bitcoin is pro capitalism and Jesus is anti capitalism so checkmate!
Is Jesus anti capitalism?
He's right though, since capitalism is a Marxist term. Free markets on the other hand Bitcoin enables and Jesus loves.
This is some mental pretzel work. But it is important to define terms. Rand defined it well. There's no meaningful difference.
Your inability to distinguish doesn't make them mental pretzel work. It means you haven't taken the time to investigate them properly.
Distinguish what? You just threw out two terms and declared them different. You defined nothing. I gave a definition (Rand) to support my claim that there's no functional difference in reality.
socialists are brainwashed. they have a phobia against learning the truth
The pretzel work is refusing to deal with Marx and instead trying to use a different term as a form of evasion. The term is just fine. People are simply unwilling to state that they are capitalists because they value long term human freedom and flourishing.
"I'm a free market kind of guy..."
I'm a proud capitalist and won't hide from Marx by avoiding his terms. It's weak and I'm calling it out. Do whatever you want, obviously, but that doesn't mean I haven't investigated the topic.
People, companies, and tribes who have accumulated a lot of capital under the fractional reserve system are a mix of people who have really benefited us by their inventions etc., and others who have engineered or gamed a very crooked money system. Some figures are in both camps. A lot of folks see this system, and the rule of these groups, as capitalism. Others have a definition of capitalism as a sort of purist libertarian/freedom ideal which has never existed.
I would define capitalism as a credit based system that's inflationary.
And I would define a free market system as deflationary.
If you want to be a capitalist and ensconce yourself in a centralized socialist banking system that's always going to fail, murder and starve millions and rob them of the value of their work and savings, have at it.
I think it's a better idea to build one's life on a free market system that's deflationary, where prices are always going down, and that give hope to humanity, based on Bitcoin.
You're not NOT hiding from Marx by embracing his word. You're adopting his worldview and empowering those parasites who benefit from the Cantillon effect.
The irony is you're becoming weaker, thinking you're becoming stronger.
But if you insist on adopting the title capitalist because you think you're engaging in intellectual pretzel work if you don't, have at it.
Personally, I'm not interested in empowering socialists.
But you do you.
Yeah capitalism doesn’t mean free markets at all
bitcoin is capitalism
No. Bitcoin is the most fair money ever created. Fairness is not a tenet of capitalism and we had money way before we had capital.
Love it when non-Christians opine into what Jesus taught.
Free interactions between two parties? He doesn’t force anyone to believe, they are free to choose…
Even the parable of the talents is kind of bitcoinish!
Jesus got mad at the bankers not the people trading consensually
2 Thessalonians 3:10 NASB For even when we were with you, we used to give you this order: if anyone is not willing to work, then he is not to eat, either.
Funny how people still confuse crony capitalism with real capitalism. Bitcoin actually fixes the system by removing the crony part. 🧡
Bitcoiners come from all walks of life, including different religions.
When Jesus returns he’ll be shilling breadcoin
Bitcoin is actual capitalism.
This seems the opposite of simple, because I’m not sure what they mean.
Bitcoin’s not gay no more
"Barren Metal: A History of Capitalism As the Conflict Between Labor and Usury" by E. Michael Jones is a book every Bitcoiner should read to understand the origins of capitalism. Majority blindly follow the cult of Austroan oeconomics.
Jesus flipped the tables because he loved usury and hated capitalism… 😂
Can we agree that free markets is the better word
Wow, that's super interesting! I love learning new things about Bitcoin! It’s crazy how it challenges what we think we know. Always good to keep exploring and questioning! 🚀💡
