Wait a moment! Was REAL bride stealing a real German tradition at some point in the past?😐
No bride stealing allowed.
Abductor shall be stripped of any clerical rank and excommunicated and he has to pay her monetary damages.
Only after all of that is decided and she is no longer under his control, may she marry him, if she wants.

Yes, of course.
We still have the tradition that the best man "steals" the bride from the wedding and "hides" her in a different location, and then the groom has to go find her and pays the bill when he arrives.
The tradition has three aspects:
1) It reminds the groom that his new wife is valuable and that he needs to watch out for her safety.
2) It protected the bride from the "ius primae noctis". In this variation, the best man is doing the groom a favor, by hiding his wife from the nobility.
3) It's a historic relic, reminding us of theft-marriage and Beutefrau (war brides).
Find it funny, that you seem surprised about all this. Bride-stealing is a common, universal habit. 🤷♀️
I guess that's why so many women seem to enjoy painful, degrading sex. Some sort of evolutionary artifact.
Can't get off unless they're terrified and suffering.
☹️
Well, it's so common, now. Like they've had their mental wires crossed, or something.
And plenty of dudes still have trouble figuring why so many women dislike men nowadays. 😮💨
GIRLS WILL BE STOLEN AND THEY WILL LIKE IT
It's the women requesting the abuse, Gary. 🤷♀️
If men aren't scary enough by their mere presence because they're too egalitarian, women start demanding they act like a psycho, to even things out again.
Very true, women are a little scary sometimes in how they want to be treated lol
People are. All genders, no matter how many there are.
People nuts, fr.
I think White girls are the most degenerate group tbh. It's like, either they have something weird going on, or the idea of sex repulses them altogether, and there's no in between.
Not good to generalize
Generalizations are literally how all language works. Cope and seethe.
Speaking for an entire category is arrogant and dangerous. Even if you are in that category.
I know what you meant. I should've clarified a bit more. I was suggesting that this sort of behavior has a tendency to generate mixed feelings among both genders. Obviously, this is not the case for everyone though.
Yeah, must create such a weird dynamic.
I'm not into that shit. I'm got 99 problems and a BDSM-fetish ain't one.
Yup. Alotta women like a man who knows how to take control. The whole BDSM fetish makes me very uncomfortable, tbh.
Sure a lot of men do too. I would be curious on the percentage of each that prefers dominant role. Likewise the submissive role. Maybe i can get government money to do a study? 🤔
My theory is that it's a way for them to emotionally cope with men who are otherwise too unmanly. He has to reassert himself in the bedroom, or something.
So, if the only place where he's leading is the bedroom, then he has to be almost ridiculously dominant.
Personally, I think alot of men of the past two generations have become overly concerned with appeasing everyone. This has led to alot of them becoming very effeminate in some ways. Many seem to have forgotten or are scared to be assertive.
You can be simultaneously assertive and respectful. I'm not sure many understand that as well as they think.
As far as I know, we Iranians have never had such an tradision. Yes, there have always been girls who were forced to marry, for example because the girl's family forced her to marry or the boy's family was rich and powerful, but it never had a tradition that someone goes and steals a girl from somewhere and marries her.
Probably if you looked into every culture you would see this in some variant long long ago. Dowries for example.
Yeah, everyone did it. Some still do.
Seems to be most popular among poorer men because they have so little to offer.
