I reached that point in 2018 - and walked away from a very nice career.
Not important in the grand scheme of things, but important one life at a time…
What do you do now?
Tennis teaching pro and high school tennis coach…with a dose of personal training and health coaching.
Gets older people to move - gets juniors believing in themselves while both winning and losing in competition (everybody does NOT get a medal).
Also just replied to a #[4] post that I’d love to do some Bitcoin education. I love to teach, and Bitcoin is perhaps “once in a species” opportunity well beyond just fiat wealth.
Respect. Do you feel a sense of happiness or fulfillment since making that move?
Completely. Pays a fraction of consulting…and I was burning through savings pretty quickly while still wrangling keeping my rates low and court expenses were high…but I get incredibly energized when I teach. I also teach quickly, so to see the progress - and the belief by both the juniors and their parents - incredibly rewarding.
Amazing— I’m glad you found that happy place 💜
I am by opting out and stacking as much as I can for my wife and son and for his wife and kids.

Aside from family, bitcoin. Aside from attending meetups and orange pilling, hard to figure out where else to contribute.
Considering starting a Bitcoin travel company in Japan. It would be fun to take bitcoiners around areas of Japan that have bitcoin merchants or bitcoin history.

Thanks. I think the hard part is making enough bitcoin to live off. Leading a group of 10 or so people on tours is unlikely to be very profitable, so my tech job is safer.
I might come :)
Combine it with sports, fitness, self-cooking and Japanese cuisine learning and I book right away 😁
Pulled the kids out of school this week to take them skiing in BC. It's not work but it works for me.
Mind & self. The inability for others to easily destroy one or the other leads to self preservation.
