One of the things that annoys me most is deception.

I live around Atlantic City, and so I do go to restaurants and shows there. They purposely design it so you have to walk through the casino to get there.

In Vegas now. And of course you have to walk through the casino to get to your room, or to leave, each time.

It’s so banal. So obvious.

Also, there are kits of lube and condoms at the mini bar. Just casually there in case you need them. That’s nice and all but I never saw that at a mini bar before across countless other cities and hotels. Seems like a Vegas thing?

Anyway, good evening.

Wow. Just wow.

Practice safe nsecs out there guys

Based meets debased. 😂

That is so Vegas ♠️❤️♣️♦️

It is Sin City 🤷🏻‍♂️

I sense that annoyance when anyone/anything tells me they're collecting my data "for my safety".

Yeah, or when you're on a phone call with some customer service or tech support they're recording it for "training purposes".

That seems really inappropriate. I wonder why they think it's a good idea. Maybe they have the Hedonist conference next week and someone got it mixed up 🤔

it also looks very fancy and overpriced. I think it’d be a better message if they put free contraceptives there… as in, oh you’re kinda drunk, but don’t forget to use a condom.

Bitcoiners, if you can call them that, at the gambling tables don't understand opportunity cost.

For a while, when we were frequenting casinos (don’t ask), I would literally get sick from absorbing all the energy of losing gamblers.

But I did buy a Bitaxe miner this week so I guess I’m not totally over the gambling thing.

Type carefully.

Copy and paste, and verify visually a minimum! 😂

The land of the high time preference.

This is why I never stay in hotels with built in casinos. Plenty of other options where this nonsense doesn’t exist.

I’ve been to a majority of US cities and can honestly say Las Vegas is my least favorite. Debauchery is the only appeal - sad.

Too much health damaging artificial light

People will always People, especially when they think no one is watching!

Better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it i guess 🤷 lol

Had a friend use the kit once while room was under my name. Never did get paid the 70 bucks he owed me...

Advice for those coming to Vegas from a Vegas loval

Try to enjoy the dopamine fix for a bit, knowing you will be home before long. Vegas is a one of a kind city where you will find whatever pleasure it is you're looking for. Try to enjoy it for what it is, and avoid the deceptive tactics. I would also advise getting away from the strip and experiencing some of the other places in vegas.

Check out AREA 15

The Arts District pubs

Freemont st.

Go see valley of fire natl. Park

China town food is 👌 and has great karaoke bars.

Drinking and walking the strip/freemont and just people watching

Buy some overpriced weed and relax

Find your thing, not their thing

👍

Omega Mart is definitely a good way to spend some time!

Zero chance I’d trust those condoms.

I remember as a twenty-something when you could play blackjack in LV while circus artists performed above your head over nets. It was Hunter Thompson carnivale…complete, open lizard brain.

I’m guessing when LV went “family friendly” in 2000 is when Freud’s “id” got pushed into Jung’s “shadow”.

We have a friend who works in the Vegas casinos as a master of ceremonies for events. He's a Christian. He and his wife have adopted 11 kids, many of them out of the foster system; some of them are the children of prostitutes. When you stay with them, you're family.

nothing stops this train of lubricant and condoms

Happy to see I made the right choice for my family when we had a layover by picking a hotel without a casino…

Also, it always seems like there is only 1 or 2 elevator cars in operation to serve their dozens of floors of guest rooms - with unnusually long hallways between the elevator bank and the farthest rooms. I assume this intentional in order to subconsciousnessly discourage even the thought of leaving the casino in order to go through all of the inconvenience just to get back to your room.

Welcome to sin city. 🤔

Don't take any of the pamphlets being handed out on the streets either.

Best time I had in sin city is when the wife and I headed North to visit the canyons.

Not a gambler or a drinker, this has been a fun time of walking far lengths

Must... sell.... more.....

This is why we settled in Reno when moving to NV. In Vegas, it feels like so much of the city is linked to the Strip and casinos. There’s no personality. Reno has some character to it with all the influence from Burning Man and old west mining. I hope we get a bitcoin conference in Reno sometime.

Dig a little deeper, maybe you'll find some lines somewhere.

yup. deception basically = disrespectfulness. Unnnnless it’s the rare case of needing it for self-protection of course.
