Commandable. I haven't read the big print. But I've given similar advice but put out Lynn Alden's Broken Money.

The idea is sound/thoughtful but I am not so sure this holds the same value as them doing some initial steps on their own first.

I think The Bitcoin Standard would be a good book to read. Once people have made a bitcoin transaction, there is no going back.

Personally, I'd just have them buy gold since they are 80. I love the sweet corn, but at that age, it's a lot to handle. Gold will treat them well and give them a piece of the action.
They asked me specifically how to do it so I feel like if I don't help them someone who will steer them into crypto will.
Plus I gave her a book by someone who is a gold bug too

Why put her in the KYC trap? Just sell her some P2P. If she wants more, sell her more or help her buy P2P from others.
