Unpopular opinion: If you use the Bitcoin symbol to represent Sats (and call them bitcoins), I don't use your product. I strongly believe this is stupid and words matter.
It is what it is.

I want to call them chucky cheese tokens. Don’t worry, it’s concensus valid
I own 500 sats.

I own 500 Bitcoin.

Plural and lower case: bitcoins
Yes, as if this is any easier for newbies. They call Bitcoin already bitcoins.
Personally I think it’s hardest for boomers to contort their minds around the idea that 21M BTC = 2.1Q bitcoins.
But every time I explain that to newbies they get it immediately. Their language is nearly always the same. They doubt the fact that they will ever have the opportunity to have a whole BTC, and simultaneously understand that it does not disqualify them from owning bitcoins.
As long as you spend your Bitcoin you can call it whatever you want..
+1
i dont disagree, but i think its relevant to point out that before getting used to the other units (i.e. mBTC or μBTC) werent there early users who felt Bitcoin should just shift the decimal points over time 👀

Lmao seems i have missed some stupidity in my absence 😅
I know I think the same but a I see it as a small gesture towards normies and nocoiners
True. How much power do simple words hold when they shape the future of a whole movement🤔?
