Seruis question.
What motivates you? Or how you motivate yourself?
P.S. Lately I lost sense of motivation and can't put myself together 🤷♂️

You got this brother! 🫂
Personally I try to remind myself what I’m working for, why I’m doing what I’m doing, and why those things are important to me. Remind myself why reaching my goals matters and what that will bring me once they are achieved.
Need momentum, once I get started then it's easy to maintain, but hard to break out of a lazy rut
For me I will physically write down what I need to do and why, then somehow it registers deeper in my brain then I'll do what I gotta do more on auto pilot
maybe you need a little break, some vacation, hiking and nature
Honestly it comes and goes. Sometimes you just have to either slog through the valley, or accept that you're in a valley and seek joy elsewhere until you get through it.
All the while, keep looking for new stuff, staying curious, learning.. that'll insure you have a big backlog of interesting things to get motivated about the next time you're back on an upswing.
it's also just reasonable to get a little depressed sometimes. It's not always obvious in the moment what is causing it - if anything.
At my company we try and remember that we and our colleagues are not bottomless motivation machines. we have highs and lows, and it's best to recognize when you're in a low and adjust your own expectations and those of the people around you.
I’m right there with you.
my children
My passion motivates me. I think of what I want to become and how I can get there. On the wall next to my bed I have a poster of the Sistine chapel by Michelangelo. It wasn’t my intention when I bought it, but every morning I look at it when I wake up. It reminds me of real beauty and what we can create when we put our body and soul into something.
Besides that. The 1% better every day rule. Promise yourself to do one thing every day that is productive. Slow but steady improvements ensure that you keep going without being overwhelmed at a monumental task in front of you.
Don’t beat yourself up bro just keep going! 🤙
Where shall you drive?
You must figure out your destination first.
Absolutely fuck all. I'm 46 and retired 2 months ago. I don't need to work anymore so I'm not working. Fuck. The. System. Relaxing, drinking, travelling.
I dont fight nothingness, motivation will come back.
Take time out. Listen to music. Exercise - even just a long walk. Notice nature. Visit a friend. Return with a refreshed brain, fresh eyes and renewed perspective…
Music brightens my days 🎵⚡
Either waking up slowly with it the morning, farming at work or cycling under a repetitive beat.
or playing at night in my bedroom.
Sometime a track help to fine-tune with yourself 🫂
Good question. Nothing good lately, except the desire to live and witness how this shit ends in 5-10 years time. Due to economy, war, AI or climate. I am 50 and retired for15 years. I hate work, taxes and material possessions. I love bitcoin do some FOSS coding for fun.
In my experience motivation is fleeting and to rely on it is a loosing strategy. Disciple is the antidote. For me if i am wavering in discipline i reduce the task to try make it smaller and more actionable.
Also psilocybin 👌
Common theme but just being outside is huge for a mental reset
