My unsolicited advice - soak in hot water, then apply antibiotic ointment and wrap in airtight bandaid for 24h. Might be easier to do surgery then
He’s soaking right now, we did antibiotics last night/wrapped it and this morning. I think he’s just gonna keep preventing the inevitable

I zapped him direct to his npub, which I rarely do. So hopefully that one went through. It should afford him a bandaid and a shot of whisky to ease the pain.

I feel like a puss but I tried my best. Lots of pus came out just going to go to the podiatrist tomorrow. Fuck me.

I don't know much about feet. Taking him with you for a pedicure sounds like good advice. An RN told me I should get a manicure for my thumbnails.
I chew them off when I'm nervous. They're all mangled now. I may get something to shock me if I put them near my face.
As with any surgery, infection is a big concern. Things like necrotizing fasciitis and sepsis. So keep it clean.
My only experiences is in the OR. Where antibiotics are always administered by the anesthesiologist as part of the surgical pre-op.
