Now that some people have #OnlyZaps do you feel more inclined to ignore, zap or reply a message you otherwise would have liked?
Discussion
Noticed that yes. Or at the very least drop a 🤙🏻 or 💯. Which then compels me to zap on top of that. 🤪
It’s early, but thus far zap…. I do feel at this point it will drive more comments from me too
Commenting more and reposting more then I usually would. Zaps are the same.
It will encourage the debate.
Anything that lets me give in to my zap addiction is a win to me
Comment and depending on the value of the note #zap
Depends what client your using. I see no difference on Nostros. Although I guess some people won't know if I liked one of their notes.

some people call it, nostr divergence
I wonder what it will mean for Nostr? I’m sure some people will go back or maybe not.
Different client choose different way.🤔 it has light difference at the beginning but no reactions is definitely a big one. But there will be a big chaos. Even for relay. I won’t be surprised if any relay reject reactions in the future.
I was thinking about that last night. Reactions are super expensive for everyone, more so for relays. The bandwidth and storage needed is many times more than all other types of events combined.
Agree. Around half of the events is reactions right? But let’s say if we make a stackoverflow/quora replacement on nostr, +/- will become important, unless we can propose a better way for signal. This is only a thought how about only accept reactions with zaps. Eg relay only accept reaction if it related to a unique invoice with 1 sats.
I will still give you a like via another client anyway😄
Put that way, only zaps seems like a no-brainer, especially for mobile clients.
Zapping is a multi-step process so I'm not inclined. I'm also not inclined to spend real money for something I simply want to acknowledge.
One way to acknowledge is to send +1 or 💯 replies. Such replies are even more expensive than reactions. Killing reactions will increase those kinds of replies.

I believe Amethyst and Alby implemented Wallet Connect, which let you zap with a single tap. With that on most clients I assume more people will be inclined just to try it.
Do you know if that works for WoS?

Does not. #[3] wen Wallet Connect?
I'm new to this but I kind of like the idea of zapping when someone is providing, say, "how-to" content, answering a knowledge question, or original art that took some effort or expertise on their part. If I just agree with someone's opinion, the like button makes more sense to me.
Ignore
But I haven't noticed anything because I haven't used Damus in days and I don't use the Testflight version.
