0xChat, Coracle, Amethyst, nosStrudel and Chachi do. not sure about others. can you send me a DM to test it? my autocompletion ain't working well and can't find you lol. i'm not sure if noStrudel defaults to NIP-17.

noStrudel appears to not support NIP-17 https://github.com/hzrd149/nostrudel/issues/237
understandable, it's quite heavy computationally (2 encryption/decryption ops per gift wrap) and practically unusable with remote signers.
noStrudel does not support nip-17,its something that would be nice to have but DMs aren't the focus of the app
According to Coracle, I have only 1 chat and either that one is both nip4 and nip17 or it's the same nip4 I also see among the many other chats I see on noStrudel.

On Chachil.chat I see no DMs at all but found that they need to be switched on in the settings ... which I did but still can't see DMs at all.

Chachi does not support NIP-04, only NIP-17. did you set up private inbox relays? agree it's a mess.

You misunderstand, that is the PDOG feature (plausible deniability of ghosting).

I don't think we can ever be 100% sure, but NIP-17 is the most sure we'll ever get since it includes active signaling support.
Same. Adding NIP-17 DMs to Damus iOS is on my todo list.
