Everybody here discussing strict diets and such

I am like: Give me all the carbs, all the meats, all the veggies, all the oils, all the nuts, all the alcohol and all the deserts. I am going to cook it myself.

155lb with all green metabolic panel.

Just saying...

Some people smoke and drink until 100. Not a good plan generally.

It has become significantly more.

Yes... But

You can definitely rethink your eating habits. If you look at the ingredients. And what the states and industry want to tempt you to do. A new programming is taking place. In the end, everyone has to work it out for themselves. Low carb definitely makes me feel better.

Just saying...

If I cook the carbs myself, I don't feel worse.

This is an interesting hypothesis. What about something like dried pasta?

Okay

I eat more meat/fish, cheese, eggs, vegetables and not too much fruit. Of course there are cheat days. But in total. It's okay :)

Strict diets are ghey

Same

accurate lol

just don't eat shit from a box. you'll be alright.

This

Genetics play a big role too.

I am allergic to almost everything and can only eat a few things without feeling like shit after a while.

thats a gut issue and a lot it could probably be fixed. There are some things you are born with and are allergic to genetically.

But a lot of problems start with leaky gut, food getting places it shouldn't and your immune system seeing it and tagging it. Now when ever it sees it again you have a reaction.

Fix your gut, let your immune system reset and a lot them will probably go away.

That’s what I have been doing for the past year. Still a way to go but getting healthier and healthier.

People gotta figure out what works for them. Everyone is different.

Physiologically we are all the same although in different states. Emotionally we are different but that only goes so far. The raw material of which we are constructed is important.

I think people have different DNA. That yields different physiology

Which organs have different functions in which people? Do they produce diferent secretions? Are there different blood and lymph functions? Different filtration functions? Elimination? Capacity may vary, but the physiological systems are the same. A varying capacity in no way indicates a need for varied nutritional requirements.

I think it's pretty obvious that I'm not arguing that people's organs perform different functions, but they do operate at different levels and aren't all statically identical. People have allergies, sensitivities, genetic differences and body chemistry that makes their needs unique.

If you think realistically that everyone on earth should actually eat the exact same diet, then I don't know what to tell you except stay out of my kitchen.

You should eat whatever you want. Any justifications based on "we are different" rather than nature's design is only self deception. People seem to believe we are the only species on the planet that has different requirements among different members. You're welcome in my kitchen any time. I take no offense at our differing beliefs.

maybe the cooking it yourself is the key

that's my point :)

wait, you make your own desserts? like what?

Carrot cake, corn cake, Brazilian brigadeiros, pao de queijo, etc.

Lots of chocolate and ice cream that are pre-made.

If I don't eat carbs, I feel terrible at the gym. Need that fuel to push hard! 💪

Simple Italian pastas are my to go meals before 2hr soccer games.

💯. I have to say, a good Pizza the night before a long endurance event always works for me too.

I ate a large margarita the night before a Hyrox race. It's got me through a grueling 1.5 hours of hard work.

Carbs help me a lot with long distance swimming and running.

Carb free helps reduce belly fat and build muscle. Muscle building just because I have to eat so much red meat to make up for the low carb. Easy to put on muscle with that much high quality protein in the diet.

I’m lucky. Homemade Italian tomato sauce. I would prefer less carbs but the food quality is high.

Carb free diets help fix a broken metabolic system. It's a really fast way to reduce belly and liver fat.

If yours is working fine you don't need to change it.

They get lost in the forest, don't overeat and you'll be 90% healthy

Be semi-acfive and you'll be 99% healthy

Lol mate, wait 20years ;)

I think it's mostly an American problem because of all shit in the food. When I'm in Europe and Asia I'll eat whatever and lose weight.

Unless all you eat is crap you will be fine until you start hitting your mid 40s if you are somewhat active and have no issues.

After that good luck.

I have hit the 40s :)

your fun is about to begin then

Humans are widely varied and adaptable.

Strict/restrictive diets are excellent for correcting metabolic issues or disorders, but not a panacea for everyone everywhere.

ok kid, let's have this conversation again in 20 years

I will be dead in 20 years.

also what "metabolic panel" you are gonna have to back that one up with who did it and what protocol they used

you know protocols right?

honestly, the lamest A crowd chatter is the one about how all the other people are just weak and shit, yeah, congratulations you are lucky right now

luck doesn't last forever, and some people don't get much of it

boasting about your luck is the most unseemly behaviour there can be in a social sphere, i seriously recommend you pull your head in before someone chops it off

also, just to be clear i got lucky with high intelligence and i have plagued myself with bad fortune by bragging about it, i'm not the first person to do this, speaking from experience here

health is completely individual and anything that you are experience is almost always irrelevant to any discussion of anyone else

That’s the way! A varied diet is probably the best one 🧡
