The incentives are pretty wack. Since you get payed for eyeballs, you will see every other X user jumping on the hottest thing of the day (today it’s daycares!). Ragebait is also running rampant, as you can just create an account that criticizes something that has a passionate community (I.e Tesla, Bitcoin…). People make a killing. As a europoor person I would be tempted to make 50k a month shitposting for likes. unfortunately I would hate myself for doing it.

Twitter has become Instagram with the amount of slop posts (AI-geenrated or not).
I'm trying to filter it out as much as I can, but I'm seeing way too many video form posts and clips of random things just for Blueticks to get some Elonbucks.
One can also sense how the general algorithm is tuned for people to distract themselves from certain topics.
This will be a major nostr selling point.
Those bots will come for us too. We will have to solve for them before we declare victory. TBD
Maybe if we decide not to use algorithms, so the bots just slop at each other in the global feed.
Or, you know, use algorithms that don't feed the bots.
I think we will figure it out. I have (unpopular) opinions, but I'm confident that the community will deal with it when the time comes. We will find a decontralized way. Nostr devs are smart
