We all know that the classical greats we're badass rockstars in their time. They knew how to party.
Listening right now with quality headphones. Will report back.
Man, when they all start going wild and everyone is jamming those bows real hard...
I think classical music players are metal heads and they don't even know it. Sometimes when I'm at a metal concert I think "is this intense, primal feeling I'm experiencing right now identical to the one people were having in the 1700s sitting in classical music halls?" and it blows my mind.
I imagine their access to high-intensity experiences and sort of cathartic group activities was severely restricted compared to today.
You can hear amplified music whenever you want, cranked as loud as you want. Go to a packed football stadium or rave or drive a fast car.
These dudes were slowly strolling around in powered wigs and apparently everything was sepia colored and silent. Aside from signing up for a naval battle, the most intense experience you could get was going to a concert hall and having a stage full of strings blasted at your face.
I guarantee you those Victorians were moshing. At least in spirit.
Okay yea wow. Around 9 minute mark, complete goosebumps and I'm not sure if it's from the breezy open window or what, but I think my eyes got kinda watery.
Damn.
crazy, been listenting to this almost every day for the past week
Let's pump up the jam. ๐ Dance skills not required
TY kind sir ๐
This is one of my go-to albums. The starting notes on always hype. Solid album all the way through. (No, not sharing because I know you like Blink. ๐) https://music.apple.com/us/album/enema-of-the-state/1440839912
Oh man. Two replies with the same tune ๐
Been on a recent metalcore mode. Fall of Ideals= some of 2000s peak metalcore ๐ฅ๐ค.
first verse and chorus:
"For fear, my eyes are closed
I'll shut this out no more, embrace this
And I become the catalyst!
And now it swells in me
Smash all my defenses down
I'll take this
I'll let this fire consume me
I will not, I will not!
I will not fall, I will not fail!
I pound the walls, I shake the cage!
I will not fall, I will not fail!
[Chorus]
Oh, let the fire consume me
Let the fire burn!
Let the courage flow through me
Let the fire burn! "
