I know for instance that with Breez the fee is 0,75% with a min amount of 5000 satoshi..
Only because you open channels on breez not sure there is others then the normal on chain fee

Short term solution for sure though make sure to let them know the risks. Rug pull potential from Wallet of Satoshi is large. Can easily walk away with everyones funds or be forced to by governments. If this ever happened to your friends they might never be open to Bitcoin again sadly.
Well of course but that’s the deep talk that confuses them again my generation not to tech savvy.. yes I agree that fear is there no large sums always cold storage.. but to bring that up to them at this point would have made them disinterested
