Unpopular opinion: I will actively seek out businesses that accept #bitcoin as payment for the goods and services I need, and am willing to pay a premium to use it.
It’s the only money I hold, why would I spend anything else?

Are you using strike bill pay at all?
Haven’t tried it but if I could use it to pay my mortgage I’m in. That’s literally the last fiat bill I can’t pay in sats (yet).
So what do you use for paying your other bills?
Where I live there’s about 6 or 7 businesses that accept lightning payments. I will always go out of my way to shop there.

Pirate Ship is cheapest, they have discounted US Postal Service and UPS rates. Yes, there are Bitcoin-accepting services online that you can buy postage from, but they charge more than the post office by a couple dollars at the least. I've used them. They all use USPS, so why not pay less? I buy Bitrefill Visa ecards with sats, and use those to pay for postage through Pirate Ship. Hope this helps 👍

I try to do the same. Only problem is, there are no businesses in my area accepting Bitcoin.
I developed a Nostr app called #Needstr that shows a map where Bitcoiners can add their needs in the physical world.
It's still very rudimentary but let's see if it gets any traction. If so, it would prove that there is demand and be an incentive for more businesses to accept Bitcoin.
Love to hear this! This is how we get bitcoin into the hands of people who may not understand or invest in it otherwise.
If they see new customers and increased sales, they'll talk and tell other business owners.
Once business owners have corn they can start paying their staff and suppliers with it.
Once those people have skin in the game and get a feel for how easy it is to use they get a deeper understanding than they would if you just tried to explain to them with verbal reasoning. They start stacking, holding and eventually spending themselves. It becomes a virtuous cycle and then we win.

I couldn’t spend my sats so often yet, and when i do i usually celebrate it. And also it happend that i really regretted to spend my sats in a few scenarios. Important lessons for me…
There are no regrets when spending sats. Because unlike trading Bitcoin for fiat – you are only passing them on to another hodler and contributing to the circular economy.
As long as you are earning and saving > sats than you are spending, that’s what is most important. 🤙
Yes i see your point. Still, on hindsight i should have saved my sats and not bought these socks which fell aparat few months later.. could buy something nice today with this generational wealth... :)
