Shit hit the fan in 2008, 2020 and many times before that. And way worse in basically most of latam multiple times. The learning lesson was not to become a prepper but more so not to be in fiat.

This is 100% correct, except this is basically the true definition of a prepper (most people incorrectly think prepping is just about guns, MREs, bunkers, and so on).
Real prepping means analyzing what things you are dependent on for your basic needs and determining how to increase your resilience in case e.g. supply chains are disrupted as you said.

independence is a hard thing to learn when you have been told to play the game your entire life.
the education system, religion, workplace all follow the dogma do as you are told not as we do.

This looks a little different to each, each person, family and community, and we need to be talking about what are the needed elements… I’d say #bitcoin is one. And #Nostr. Some elements require greater degree of coordination. Our new ingredient is the ability to coordinate value across space and time without a central authority. The central authority now becomes our Community. Pretty freaking exciting. What’s next?!?

With all strands of organizations & entities being hellbent to establish layers upon layers of governance (often under democratic gestures) who R gunning to take over our rights & liberties globally, transnationally & subnationally the main problem remains over-saturated governance that fragmented & diluted our rights & liberties. The urgent task in critical thinking & acting is to strip these entities from their grip over our livelihood rather than participating, establishing & deputizing more governance in order to redeem the currently elusive personal "independence". This needs to be accompanied w that economic self-sustenance that u mentioned as these entities will do whatever it takes to stay in power & won't give up easy.
there is definitely a level of personal responsibility, too. the more you can take care of yourself, the less you need other people to take care of you and the less likely you are to be affected by a supply chain disruption
Yea if you have to mentally dodge being associated with 'preppers' (aka identity politics label) I doubt you'll survive any amount of time without a supply chain.
