Some times I don't know what I am doing on nostr. I don't have a firearm or a homestead, don't really know how to cook or grow my own food, I think weed is stupid, I like having functional governments, don't stack sats, and am not humble.

But you're a good, God fearing man even if you are a Catholic. π€£π€£π€£π€£
None of that stuff matters much more then being as genuine as you want while using the protocol.
Most of that other stuff is a very solvable problem. π
I'll admit I'd like a little land and a plot 'o taters. Bitcoin may not fix anything, but potatoes do.
Yes and no. Bitcoin can help fix a bunch of stuff, but home grown taters would fix more.
Maybe some beets ?
No. Nice try Mr. Schrute.
Parsnips and rutabagas, too. π€€
Probably, I am just in it for the dill weed. I may not be much in a kitchen, but adding fresh dill to a sandwich is sublime.
Dill is one of those herbs/spices I'm not really into. For pickling I guess it's good, in moderation, but can't think of a time I had a dish with dill flavoring that I thought wouldn't have been better without it.
Encounter it seldom though, so maybe I should give it another try. It does sound kinda good on a sandwich
Gravlax ?
Researching...
Never heard of or had the pleasure to try this. "...creating a silky, flavorful disagree similar to smoked salmon but without the smoke, traditionally served with thinly sliced sweet mustard-dill sauce on bread with potatoes.."
Sounds good! May have to reconsider my dill position. You've given me a lot to think about today
My job here is done π
Very convincing in so few words.
Anytime I read about Nordic fish I'm reminded of Surstrommig (had to look that up, doesn't sound right but appears it's the dish I had in mind), with the buried fermented fish, which is apparently so pungent it must be opened up far from others.
Has anyone tried this? I haven't had the chance, though I'm sure it's pretty bad. I'd give it a taste though, maybe someday
I have read about it and seen it, but never occupied the same room as it π
"Gravlax on advert" refers to the popular Three UK 5G network campaign featuring a man using his phone to look up what gravlax is in a restaurant to impress his in-laws, highlighting real-life uses of fast internet for everyday situations. The ads, created by Wonderhood Studios, show the man quickly transported to a Swedish lake to learn gravlax is salmon cured with salt, sugar, and dill, leading him to confidently order it.
This is the SOLE reason why anyone, including Mike, know what gravlax is, unless of course, you're Sweedishππ».
Please do grow some and try it fresh. It's more subtle than the in your face kick of it in many pickles.
I love dill, though. π
Will consider it. Got a bit of space since the basil didn't grow this season for some reason. May buy some micro green version at farmers market first though, assuming they have some, cuz we like the micro green stand to put stuff on sandwiches and dishes, though my go to is mustard leaf
Yes!
I've been influenced

das ist Lecker zu Fisch
That's a lot of dill π³
If you have spare, persillade is a great accompaniment to fish dishes and dill is a great herb to use in it.
Also, tarragon, mint or thyme as well as the standard parsley.
Information overload π€π₯
Good stuff though, didn't know what persillade was, at least not the name, but ingredients sound good.
Bought this to try in some sandwiches later in week, and also for a little pickling, which is something we've been doing here and there lately with good results so far.
Well I'd like to have a functional government too but it is not working properly. That is why we need to prepare with a plan B. It is clear that dark forces are working to render life horrible for most
God bless your free thinking.
Great to see your note.
It is normal from the design, that it takes time to find users, which deliver some intresting views or information.
But it is an open protocol in the End like Email or social contracts. You do not need certain preconditions or intrests to participate.
Best to just post about things you like doing or about notes and articles you usually read. Eventually you will be found by people swith similar intrest.
I don't actually mind being the odd one out. In some way, everyone is. I just find it amusing that communities land on strange identities. For instance, if I wanted to call myself "conservative" in America that carries a bunch of viewpoint baggage that isn't particularly conservative. Same with liberal.
My goal isn't necessarily to find like-minded people, it is to keep #nostr from becoming more than a technical label. It shouldn't equate to #bitcoin or #libertarian etc.
I agree, that a free nostr is best without seeking for labels. I also find such stigmas as "normal", "left" and "right" not that helpful.
I think in the end it is important to explain what one wants to say in order to be understood. No matter what stigmas talk and text to each other.
You're not alone π«
