The main bank I use here is mobile only. They have no physical branches you can walk into, and they don't do checks either. Just an app and a debit card. I have to get a cashier's check every month to pay my rent because my landlord doesn't take cards payments. But I still have an account and routing number for direct deposit.
I have my veteran's disability deposited to there because they credit it to my account as soon as they see it initiated. So I get it 4 days before the end of the month, and that day I pay all my bills for the next month so then I have no bills to worry about and I know what my budget is for next month.
