This would be an interesting thread to follow with the diet changes, especially if you start trying red meat

I’ve had endo before I went plant-based. I don’t have a hormonal imbalance, I have a uterus that bleeds internally so they have to stop my menstrual cycle artificially with hormones.

However, I am slowly transitioning into adding humane sources of animal protein and fats into my diet to slow down inflammatory responses. It’s a process though. If I went straight for a steak tonight, I would be sick to my stomach for a week 🤢

Red meat has been linked to increased estrogen levels which can stimulate endometrial growth and clotting so I have been advised to avoid it and try leaner proteins like fish and poultry. Unfortunately, soy does the same thing for endo as red meat…that’s why I don’t think it’s gonna be sustainable to maintain the plant-based route anymore 🤷‍♀️

Eggs will probably be very helpful and a lot easier psychologically. Easy to get humanely sourced eggs too.

Yup! I’m gonna just focus on step one and take it from there 🫂

DYOR, be very skeptical of a Dr’s advice on diet 🤣

I could live off fish though for sure, maybe some lobster and crab too!

Not from a doctor. I’m in a group with a bunch of women with endo who share their research, tips, and journey. I fucking love lobster too and I’m excited to eat it again 🤗

Seafood is so good. Oysters and scallops are truly delicacies imo

Just remember all the animals that go homeless and are depopulated (killed) to make room for land to grow crops.

No more humane way to live than to eat ruminant pasture-raised meat.

Mono cropping destroys soil biomes and local biodiversity.

Ranching and ruminants restore soil health and increase local biodiversity.

There is no second best 🫡
