I've had horrible luck with Iris. Idk y.
What happened ?
It's extremely laggy for me and honestly the best thing about it is I like the way it looks but it's too clunky and I'm on a new phone.
Oh. It’s a good thing there are many clients to choose from! On Iris, are you on iOS or Android? I have an older phone using iOS, and it ok. If I play ard with relays and storage it’s even better. I’m sure your feedback is useful and something #[5] can look into

I keep trying other desktop clients, but I keep coming back to iris.
I want to but upload speeds have nosedived the last few days. Can't upload a gif period anymore.

It's solid. I love how clean the interface is. It's not busy. I will say that Nostrgram despite being busy is also coming along great.
Iris is good at displaying feed. But i use snort as it has more feature and better ux, i personally disable reaction and not showing media. And snort use less data in my usage.

Ive heard web clients arent as secure with private keys. Any knowledge about this?
Yes, you are right. If you use a web client, always manage your private keys with Alby extension, or nos2x chrome plugin. Both of them work great

Also i dont see a way to login with npub. I like that feature to try a client a bit before giving private key
Just paste the npub instead of nsec. There's also "View as...." mode:

Use Alby extension on desktop. And stores your private security key in your browser instead of transferring it to Iris.

iris.to and snort.social are the best web clients I’m aware of, each with its own quirks
It’s probably the best web based one I’ve found. http://hamster.to is pretty nice too, but have had some issues with relay connectivity (even from private relays).

It is my go-to browser client at the moment. Just set up the Alby browser extension as well to manage my private key more securely with Iris.to.

The only issue is, I don't think it takes into consideration zaps just yet. You can send sats and receive but it isn't keeping track.

Love Iris, simple, classy, no algo, advanced features tor, webtorrent - and it’s spam reduction is based on N degree trust network of followers and engagements which works like a charm, search inclusion which has become my binge reading, tidal, YT and Spotify embeds, they constantly ask for user feedbacks - and they just implemented short profile name for global view. I think it’s pretty amazing seeing dev #[2] build this in public, both pain and wins, and seeing Iris get better everyday

I was happy with NostrGram, but currently it so slow while writing notes.. Will try iris.
