I used to think Bitcoin = Freedom
Now I think Freedom is more like a Rubik's Cube.
Bitcoin is one side.
Nostr is another.one.
I suspect there are multiple more sides.

Good idea for a discussion Pablo, this isn't meant to be an argument just my 69sats,
Bitcoin = freedom because money is what
transmits value, not socializing or any other form.
Nostr only feels this good because we have Bitcoin integrated, thus being able to support each other with value for value.
Value for value = freedom
The tools we use to accomplish this trade of valuables are more akin to accessories supporting Bitcoin use vs "stand alone freedom solutions".

I don’t disagree that Bitcoin and nostr and other sides of the cube work together to increase human optionality (and I do think it’s good!) but optionality != freedom in its fullness
I'd differentiate between philosophical freedom (i.e. virtue, as conceived by the Stoics, for example) and political/social/interpersonal freedom, which is the kind that Nostr and solid money (I'm partial to Monero) enable.
Decentralization is the name of that Rubik's cube. The ability to effectively deny other's control over your life.
