What's a good thing you think about to lift your mood?
Cause I'm coming up on a blank rn ๐ซฅ
Unless I just meditate and go full head empty, but sometimes you just want something tangible to anchor to.

Jet black towels that stay that way after washing, that don't leave fuzzy lint behind, and are really absorbent yet still soft.
My towel is like that ๐ฎ๐
Some people only dream of those things ๐๐ซถ
This towel appreciation helped tremendously, thank you.
That and some physical labor and time with family, but that went better because of the towel thing ๐
It probably sounds stupid but before I started any of my businesses, I had an actual dream about towels like that. My towels from another dimension became the basis for: What kind of bathroom would they hang in? On what towel bar? Would the bathroom have a window? What's outside the window? How do I build that life?
Very motivating, even if it's strange.
Every black towel I've bought has still faded, so the dream lives on ๐
๐ This is good.
That 'tomorrow' will, with constructive effort, day by day, become better for me.
Start with emptying first you will be surprised. Maybe outside with sun shining heat on you!
Solid ๐ค๐ซ
Understanding that it's all temporary and feeling up or down is part of the balance of this experience.

Designing my dream home
I think of people and circumstances I am grateful for. Also I think, "This crap mood is temporary. When you are feeling better, nothing can stop you from learning something new and useful."
if im in a bad mood i just pull a Barney Stinson and tell myself to stop being in a bad mood and start feeling awesome again.
but in all seriousness i literally have a calendar reminder every day at 2pm to "do better". i've had this for about 8 years or so. it's just a reminder to try to do better as a husband, a father, a human.
normally i think about my wife and kids. they always bring a smile to myself and in the grand schemes of things, they're all that matter to me.
Music is one of the few things that will lift my mood no matter how down I am. Have a playlist of certain songs that no matter how much shit you are dealing with it can reset yourself to a better inner state of being.
Binaural beats can help too as well as pure solfeggio frequencies. You need a good set of headphones for this to be effective. It is more of a forceful reset like using a tuning fork. I only use that if my mind is in overdrive and can't be silenced by music.
As far as pure thinking thoughts go. That has always been a challenge to me. Sometimes thinking about my family and my dog works, but honestly auditory works best when I can't reset myself from the inside on my own.
My family
My late father sat me down one day after a particularly traumatic childhood L & said, "Whether you think you can or think you can't, you're right. Try again." ๐โโ๏ธ
I don't even remember what the fail was now, but I never forgot that pep talk & it still makes me smile to this day. ๐ค
Not a thought, but something tangible:
Raw Cheese & Honey.
Proven mood lifter ๐.
"In a recent study in Japan, for instance, greater cheese consumption was linked to better cognitive function, and some other research suggests that cheese can trigger the brain's dopamine pathways, leading to feelings of pleasure."
"Honey may have mood-boosting effects due to its content of tryptophan, a precursor to serotonin, a neurotransmitter that plays a role in mood regulation, and its antioxidant properties, which may help reduce oxidative stress in the brain."
I like to embrace it until it suddenly dissapears. Usually I get a new perspective too
