#[0] #[1] #[2] #[3] #[4] Before I admit defeat from our impromptu vote on the plebchain radio nostr spaces on the pronunciation of #plebchain, I’m bringing the vote to the masses. What say you all? Everyone please respond to this note with your vote.

If you listen to #[6] on Nostrica he actually says this as well. “Plehb”

He made his choice.

Nostrovia**

The correct pronunciation is "pleeb" but "plehb" just feel right. I'm going to go with my gut on this one.

Yeah I think I’ve just given up.

It’s Plēbian right? But pleb (plehb).

🤷‍♂️

Also, pleeebchain sounds ridiculous

Yeah best to focus energy on the 15 ways people pronounce nostr.

I’ve drawn my line in the sand there. It’s nostr-uh

Haha very Cosa Nostra. I like it.

nostrrrrrr-uh (roll that r like a madman!)

I saw “plehb” but don’t take my word on correct pronunciation. If you’ve ever heard me on nests you know I speak cornbread

pleb, sounds better, however you are correct in the fact that it is pronounced pleeeb .. who started it?

The Romans?

Being that the Romans spoke Latin… I’m lost

You again?

The word pleb has an etymological history. It comes from the Latin word plebeians. Romans were known for knowing nothing about modern American culture. A culture in which some lost souls would refer to plebeians as pleebs.

It’s sad to see that most Bitcoiners have absolutely no clue, what pleb means or why we call ourselves that.

On the other hand, it means adoption is spreading.

I think it's a local thing. Europeans are primed to pronounce it as 'plehb' because it's not an English native word and exists in all European languages.

True. But more important than pronouncing it, is understanding what it means. Bitcoin is our secessio plebis.
