Something has gotten into people. I’m finding myself muting more. I don’t want negativity and anger in my feed. There are other places to find that noise, and I’m not here for it. Besides, there are brand new pubs showing up every day, so it makes up for it.

Well done

I kind of think it was last summer when I started to notice a huge change in the disposition, to put it that way, of some plebs.

Things had been going down, for me (vibe-wise), for a long while before that but I think this past summer was a big inflection point.

Optmists live longer

Pessmists say thats overrated :grumpycat_sm:

We need to remind them we are winning

It's inevitable with scale. Nostr doesn't magically fix humans

VERY TRUE

People will be People

Curate your network and win

Mute registries will be a thing.

I have recently done the same on the other social networks when I had never had done something like that before. I fear the creation of an echo chamber, but have benefitted mentally from doing so

Honestly, the two things right is the fiat system is starting to really take its toll on some people, & the unnecessary infighting over coin preferences.

Ideally, we all work together to solve the first problem but we’d rather attack each other instead 🙃.

Mute is a great tool for a more enjoyable experience. I am still trying to cut down my time looking at the phone. I want more time walking and thinking. Thanks again Daniel for the 👑.

May you wear it well, King. 👑🐝

Getting muted makes me feel like Jon Hamm in Black Mirror, but all you can do is learn from it.

I guess the point of nostr isn't "no silos" it's "control your silos"

Some bitcoiners get cranky in a bull market. Built different i guess

Word. Keep Nostr weird. But also a little kind. LFG

That's one of the benefits of being responsible for your own algorithm. You can decide who you want to be a part of your experience and the only impact yout choice has is with your own feed. I've noticed that people coming from other platforms take a minute to figure out that they are responsible for their own experience here, unlike the hellscapes they've come from. I find it liberating.

Honestly, just spending less time on apps is also a really nice alternative.

PV 🤙 Bloomscrolling is the way!

Clicking the mute button is akin to setting a boundary in a relationship.

We get to choose who we allow into our lives, and who we reject.

As Michael Saylor says, curate your life. Well done!
