No way, we watched that last night!
A decade or so old and feels incredibly relevant right now.
They always tell you the truth
It's on my watch list too, right after my little pony.
There's a story from somewhere in Africa about these beetles who's population was declining dramatically.
Whoever was researching it realized that the beetles were conditioned to mate with the largest female and so they were being attracted to littered beer bottles instead of fertile mates.
AI girlfriends are beer bottles. This will likely ramp up dramatically over the coming years.
Same guy after Her:
Everything will change, AND nothing will change.
In the movie "Her" we see that quite well, if you watch if from a meta perspective.
In future people fall in love with AI like they fell in love with cougars and marriage swindlers in the past.
There is a saying:
Give a person power/money and you know who they are.
The same with love:
Give a person the feeling of safety/acceptance and you know who they are.
I don't see it as a bad thing though. Actually, it's great. This is the age of information. I see you. You are allowed to be seen. Show yourself more.
