Fasting: worth it? Not worth it?
Discussion
I’ve enjoyed it.
Interment fasting. I eat one meal a day typically. Keto 6 days a week.
Skip the intermittent fasting and go straight to 36+ hours.
About me: do not approach.
bad mood monster 🤣
My record was 30h
Did you manage to go one full day?
With some ease. I frequent raves. After 18-20h dancing and eating fastfood, it's easy to go 24+ without food, since most of it is while I'm sleeping, as I hate cooking I prefer to feel the discomfort than cooking.
More than 24 hours is not all weeks. But usually between 14-18h I do it twice a week
Nope
I've been doing a 16-18 hour fast daily for a year, it's great. I'm never ravenous anymore, more energy and I eat less when have meals. I'm also mainly Keto, which helps. Try it.
What are the goal you are hoping to achieve? I’ve read abt improving brain function but haven’t fully explored - I like the self control aspect it inflicts but am light weight and don’t want to loose more. Also what type of fasting are you exploring?
It’s a paradigm shifting approach to life. It requires balance and trial and error to understand your own body. The body is in constant state of homeostasis, so the approach should be incremental.
Don't try to fast - try to eat such a nutrient-dense diet that your body simply is not hungry as often
always
Yes but it seems specifics really are dependent to the individual. Use any information you take in as a guide rather than a rule & listen to your body.
Definitely yes for me. More energy and better digestion. I do 16/8.
What does 16/8 mean?
