There is no 0 - if you don't lay concrete and instead insist on having a ground floor which is dirt then...🤔

What is the Lower Ground floor in America? Lower First? 🤔

I wouldn’t want to drink ground coffee in America 😂

#espresso only

slow extraction = poison

i need a coffee now, damn you

I like instant coffee, because I hate being latte.

Is the dating app for coffee lovers, Grounder 😂

idk but for me espresso is my substitute for skunk because legal

the consequences are similarly unpleasant either way i guess, but i been in prison so i'm a bit paranoid

it's probably killing me and my kidneys tho

luckily i've started religiously drinking 2L of water a day

I’m from the UK, we drink the hard stuff here, tea 🫖

i've lived in blackpool and cambridge and i hope i never set foot on that island again

If I’d lived in Blackpool or Cambridge, I’d feel exactly the same 😂

Cambridge is ok. Blackpool though. Slit my wrists…

was my first experience in the country... st annes and preston aren't much better

You visited all the best places 😂

🤣

i also rented a hotel nearby heathrow one time for 100 pounds because the fuckers close for 5 hours as i was on my way to be a hobo in amsterdam

i mean, i had money but then my passport expired and consensys couldn't hire me because no passport

oh what i know now... also came close to a job with ethereum office in amsterdam just before that

and then, 7 months waiting to get my passport replaced via problems with my birth certificate and living on the streets of amsterdam

i had no idea what i was in for

i hiked across Dartmoor in Somerset and it was magical. and then the Coastal Path with all its ups and downs and hidden coves and cliffs and styles over fences.

That sounds amazing! I camped on Dartmoor once. Got trapped in a bog - mates had to pull me out. 🤣 Good times!

ah i love that stuff, happened to me once in a field in Sofia after too much home made grape brandy going entirely in the wrong direction from my home

🤣 - happens to the best of us. I’m assuming you’re Bulgarian? Now that’s I place I want to explore. Fascinating history. I was reading about the Buzludzha Monument only the other day - mad design! A close friend is married to a Bulgarian too and I get snippets to current life there as she regularly travels back to visit family. Great scenery, national parks and bears too!

no, i'm australian, father was dutch/indonesian (technically my oma was half swiss too)

oh, i know of this weird thing but i never saw it, it's in a part of the countrty i only maybe passed through on a train one or two times, i think that is the route north from sofia out to varna, which i have done twice but never stopped anywhere except dobrich because my landlady of my place in varna lived there and i needed her to sign some document to get my registratsia lol

i miss bulgaria though... but it's turned into european hellscape in the last 10 years... when i first got there in late 2012 i was able to open a bank account easily, and the bank was just down the road and open 10am to 10pm 7 days a week!

last contact i had with said bank was in 2021 and they ate my wirex card because their ATMs give money before card, and wirex wouldn't send them a message certifying i was the card owner, it cost me 500 euros worth of ethereum at the time

other than that, trying to open a bank account, with bulgarian residence certificate, at 4 different bulgarian banks, was impossible, except for iCard, who are based in Varna where i was, but they gave me a card no problem, i needed it FOR AN EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT

so, yeah, bulgaria was better, it's still better than serbia at this point, serbia decommissioned most of their rail system, bulgarians would burn down parliament if they canceled their trains

Preston is horrible.

Especially that Preston! (😜)

i liked the canals, but i only saw them at 4am in the morning one time while i was suddenly homeless on the way to ... well i didn't know where, but i ended up in liverpool anyhow

Sounds like you’ve had an interesting life. I’ve been about too. It enriches.

yeah, i can't say the adventure hurt me

what hurt me was seed oils and modified starch and potatoes

Potatoes should be ok no? But the rest definitely. Anything “refined”. That includes drugs and alcohol.

no, potatoes too

except for people with dozens of amylase genes it is a recipe for death at age 50-60 of heart disease, obesity and/or diabetes/kidney failure

sure, these other things make it worse but sugar is the base poison, and the most normalised

I’m currently in Poole. Got bored so heading back to London.

Now Poole is Coole 😎

Parts are cool. Sandbanks etc. But my experience has been unexciting so far. Many retirees and if you’re into sailing it’s good. Not cheap either. Quite a lot of military here and also a traveller element (nothing against this) but it seems to trigger the locals. Rather similar to Bristol. Best place I’ve lived so far in the UK (ignoring London - I love London for the variety and sub culture - not the expense) has been West Wales (Aberystwyth et al) and also Dundee/St Andrews. Have always had a soft spot for Surrey too. (Epsom, Ascot, Virgina Waters, Windsor, Egham etc.). The UK really does have variety if you explore.

Yep, there are many good and many not so good places

yeah, wales seems like the best parts to me also, the people are sweet also, had lots of nice interactions during a stint as a hire car phone operator/order/helpbesk in Sofia, only nicer people i worked with were texans

Definitely - very friendly in Wales

the worst customers were pakistanis in london

I almost feel I shouldn’t comment but…

hey, i was just some random australian working at a helpdesk in sofia after running out of money cos i failed to make a profit on my darkweb business

don't shoot the messenger, the pakis were horrid, and i never got a good impression of the ones i bumped into in sydney either, though the lebanese were worse, except for the last time i was there in 2001, they were chaperoning this coked up white girl who demanded that her thug bois beat me up while on the train out of the city back towards canberra

so yeah, my experience of middle eastern people migrants to australia, was not good, most of them were aggressive bitches and very unpleasant

Hahaha I know exactly what you mean…

yeah i'm pretty sure that anyone who has lived in london has bumped into pakistanis, there's so many of them there and they are so rude

i'd rather tangle with turks any day, they are nice, just don't trust them

was many turks in the low sec prison i spent 4 months in after getting busted for my darkweb biz, they were ok but not friendly, you could at least depend on them to be honest in their business, and later times i have been in Istanbul and several contacts i had with locals were pleasant

Funny you mention Texans. My father worked with many Texans - (Oil/Libya before it became a complete mess) - and he also said the same. Decent peeps!

espresso is nearly as fast as latte

here in #madeira it's called "bica"

i mean instant

worth the extra 20 seconds

Espresso - nothing wrong with it. (One half is of Arabic heritage so might be biases). Actually a very good diuretic. Keeps the kidneys active. Just balance it with a nice glass of water.

Are you aware of deuterium?

are you aware of potassium-40?

This will fundamentally change my life now

yes, it will

all living things are adapted to surviving in its presence

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9LgUlKNGFg

each tick is the sound of a radioactive particle emission hitting that detector's sensor

Our mitochondria are not adapted at handling accumulating amounts of deuterium however

there's always a tiny amount around tho, same as potassium, and the kidneys are gonna keep pushing that through unless you are poisoning synthetic amino acids with it or something to make it more persistent

You mean a basement?
