Day 2 of carnivore. Not bad at all, although I haven’t done any cardio/run training, which I need to keep up with. Might do carnivore days and alternate on run days, any thoughts? #carnivore

You can run entirely on fat. Go give it a few months and post regular updates.

Watch out for the carnivore flu tho.

What is the carnivore flu?

You will find out on the toilet 😂

Lazy.

In my experience, best to muscle through the body's transition from running on carbs to running on fat. Sometimes you get 'keto flu' but there are great recipes for keto lemonade to get through it. I stuck with it for 30 days and found my cravings (beer, salty/crunchy snacks like potato chips) disappear, I was far more energetic, and needed to eat far less often. I lifted and rowed right through without any issues after that first week or so of 'keto flu' / detox.

🤙🤙🤙

Are you keeping your salt & fat intakes up?

This was a lesson I learned the hard way years ago from fasting too long without any sodium

Good, good... I had to up my salt a lot in order to feel functional 😅

be careful of potassium deficiency, that one has bit me pretty hard, many of the sources are carbs or fibrous vegetables

coconut water is very high in potassium, to the point where i'd say it's hard to tell the difference between a dilute solution of potassium chloride and coconut water if you can't smell

oh yeah, why is this important? magnesium and potassium are the nutrients whose deficiency can lead to cramps and slow recovery not due to overworking but exhaustion of electrolytes for depolarizing

Yea this is my concern. Will take it one step at a time, adjust and adapt
