There you have it. Knots 20250903 is now the most common node version.

The plebs have spoken

Core proponents assured us this wouldn’t happen. Couldn’t happen. That your node doesn’t matter. It does.

Core v30 proponents assured us this wouldn’t happen. Couldn’t happen. That your node doesn’t matter. It does.

Amazing. It’s surprising to me that there are only 3,000 people out there saving the world. Out of 8 billion.

My guess is that the percentage of anonymous Knots vs anonymous Core node runners is somewhat similar to the public node figures. But you are only able to see the tip of the iceberg here. 😉

It kinda looks like core is the most common

It's not "knots vs core" it is core-v30 vs everything else.

Would it be a success if knots were 100% of nodes?

Yes

No.

You need100% Miners to filter

If the network was 100% Knots and miners continued to include spam they would be risking being rugged and going bankrupt.

Only temporarily. Even Luke supports multiple well maintained implementations. Right now there’s only one; Knots.

Core is clearly the most common with a count of around 14’000 vs 5’000 knots.

Yes, if you add up all Core versions and all Knots versions. But the single most common version is Knots 20250903.

Core-v30 is the one upcoming that is making the change.

All current mainline nodes use an op_return filter.

this is the first time in bitcoin's history that an alternative client reached 20%. This exceeds the 15% of the UASF.

Hey man i see you are Swiss. Do you have some feedback on why 50.30% of Sesia voted yes to the digital ID?

As an external I thought you guys would have surely voted no…

No real feedback other than it was a referendum, which is good, and a very close call.

At least it was decided the right way.

Ah so you are also in favour of digital ID, my bad then

I would have probably voted against

Sorry then I misunderstood when you said “at least it was decided the right way”, I get now you were referring to the referendum

Wow!!!! Nice!

Basic math says that 20% a majority is not

All I see is 0% Core v30

Most common version, NOT to be confused with most common software, …which is still core.

Core30 sucks

Core 30 specifically? Yes I think it’s a bad idea rn.

Not for long it appears

And you wonder whats wrong with Bitcoin and the community 😂

A big story. Something I am guilty of not paying enough attention to

I’ve been working on the assumption that fucking with consensus is really hard

This proves that

Plenty of incentive aligned legends out there fighting my corner

Lots of salty tears and cope in the comments 😂

Our nodes matter! Keep up the sprit brothers. Bitcoin is money, let's use it like that and be stewards of the networks.

I count nearly 70% core nodes

Where is the data from? Can you trust the statistics? I mean, how many nodes are using tor?

Don’t forget:
