Ah right, it's all still very manual at the moment. Click the name, select "Update metadata". If you have their relay data, or you have enough popular "read" relays, it should load.
I should have a setting to do this automatically, I think most people will want that. I've completely forgotten about that.
ah, Refresh Metadata on People tab work too? I thought if I had it checked in settings it would automatically fetch and cache images
Refresh Metadata on the People tab works for your followers, but not for people you aren't following.
"Fetch Avatars" in settings means it will automatically fetch avatars, yes, but only if it already has the metadata that lists the avatar. It doesn't also automatically fetch the metadata. That is what I need to add.

I put in code to show your DMs in your inbox. You can't create them yet. And they just show like regular feed events. It is not a brilliant UX and it will change, but I wanted to see my DMs.
I actually think it is a brilliant UX. DMs as normal notes in the feed.
Next I want to see a client with a chat-view displaying feed notes.
Someone told me they're going to work on the Telegram port to Nostr though, so that may end up happening and will yield itself to some nice UX experiments.
Any chance of getting lntxbot on Nostr?

Once I implement custom feeds to filter down to just your convo, then I would agree with the first part.
