‘nothing to change, nothing to improve, no-one to impress, nothing to win, nothing to lose, nowhere to go’

Laziness is underrated

That was a fun read. Not nearly as harsh as the title implies.

The author has the same reservations about Watts that I do. The man was brilliant, far ahead of his time... but he drank himself to death by his late 50s. Tragic really.

I have learned a lot from Watts, but by no means should his beliefs alone be utilized as a comprehensive worldview.

Utilizing his own theory, he was perfect. He expanded the conscioussness of millions, and then provided a powerful example of how not to make the same mistakes he did.

Thanks for posting 🤙

Alan Watts is a good gateway drug to spirituality. He's definitely been a plus for me. I'm a lazy guy, taking a trip and listening to some YouTube videos had far more chance of making into into my consciousness than an enlightened monk.

Now that I'm better a paying attention I can also gain some knowledge from the monks too because I know what they're saying isn't complete bullshit

That’s what my wife said earlier today, Watts is a great gateway person, making the spiritual realm accessible, opening it up for discussion.

Great share.
