And infrared stimulates the photosynthesis of melatonin, a chemical that helps fight oxidative stress (lower blood glucose also reduces oxidative stress!)

That is actually a good idea! In general do we know the exact wavelengths from where to where. Is it narrow band red light or a range of red?
(Infra)red panels use well known beneficial wavelengths, but the whole spectra probably contains many more that are currently unknown/untested. The range from the sun into infra goes much further than panels
