Again. Muun wallet isn’t an LN wallet. Muun also siphons fees from anyone sending funds to it since it needs to relay though their magnetron node which charges insane fees for incoming transactions.

I just puchased something with Muun and the fees were about 854sats. I have no idea where this sits in the cheap-expensive field of fees, but I find it negligable (it's about 5 cents?)

It’s not FUD. It’s facts from my experience of using Muun and about a dozen other LN wallets over the past 2 years as well as running an LN routing node. I even wrote the stacker.news article, that was from my own experience.

Blixt Wallet is my favorite. Non-custodial and you can manage your own channels.
Phoenix is decent for LN noobs but a little expensive to get started.
Wallet of Satoshi for total noobs but keep in mind that it’s custodial so don’t keep any significant amount of funds in there for long.

WoS is probably the best one to onboard noobs with to LN with a few sats. Then graduate to Phoenix or Blixt when they’re ready and need a non-custodial wallet.
Muun is basically custodial for receiving LN until the on-chain transaction confirms back into your wallet from the submarine swap.

I will continue to use Muun. I never use lighting for large amounts anyways. and Muun just works for me. When I accumulate enough sats on lighting, I can so easily send them to cold wallet on-chin for cheap.
It’s not cheap with all the dust those LN payments make. Look at all the 1000-5000 sat dust UTXOs that were in my Muun wallet. I just emptied it on-chain since it would have been even more expensive to use LN with it.

We used to send 5K Sats to people in Twitter Spaces all of the time when Spaces launched. It was something like one out of every ten transactions had high fees, the rest were miniscule.

My experience with Muun is that it also has the lowest fees. Either 0 or 1 sat. In my ~30 transactions I have never seen higher fee.
Also it's the cheapest way to get sats from LN to onchain (you can set 1 sat/vB and then it's just price of one tx)
I've sent to it over lightning from Breez, Phoenix, Wallet of satoshi, LNBITS, Zeus and others. Never paid more than 4-5 sts on lightning. And when I send on-chain , I get to choose my own fee. So again, show me a proof, or you're talking nonsense and you can fuck yourself.
When you send on-chain you get to set your own fee rate, but you can’t manage your UTXOs, and when you try to send all those dust UTXOs it will get expensive, even at 1 sat/vB.
Try sending something over 300k sats on Muun. It will very likely get expensive quickly.
