If I had to guess I'd say some type of false cyber pandemic which helps force land #DigitalIdentity governance.

2) Illegal immigrants are destroying our country

I'm glad to say that seems to have failed for the moment. There seems to be less momentum than past years. At least from my perspective in the US.
1. Climate Change related event
2. Civil unrest from clashes with migrants
3. A massive hack or cyber event that wipes out bank balances

My money is on some kind of cyberattack that they’ll use to try to justify digital ID enforcement.
Either
1) Bio-terror attacks (reminiscent of the 2001 anthrax scares) or
2) Aliens
