GM Tony, hope all is well. Got two Boston Butts and a Beef Brisket on the smoker. Been running it since last night. Hoping for some good meats for a family gathering today. 🤙🏻🥩
Investing isn’t a team sport.
A good chunk of the Robinhood generation just follow the crowd/trend.
It was obvious with GameStop/AMC and now it’s repeating with Microstrategy $MSTR.
The main guys doing analysis on this are bright people, like Jeff and Ben from the IL group, but blindly following anyone (even Warren Buffett) is a disaster waiting to happen.
If you don’t do your own research, you depend on others to know when to get in or out. Do your own research, your own due diligence, and listen to the smartest people in the space. Make your own decisions, have your own targets, and stop blaming others if it doesn’t go your way.

Oh, and good morning. #gm

Oh man, that sounds so good right now. I might do the same this week, been lazy. Last brisket I got was a disappointment, barely had any of the point.
I’m sure it’ll turn out great, enjoy! Share pics of the finished product if you can.
Will do. This is only my second brisket to ever do. They take so long to cook and most people don’t appreciate all the hard work. I started the carnivore diet a while back so I’ll probably keep it all for myself. Two boar butts going to a family Christmas gathering though.
I definitely understand. It takes a lot of work, the full packer brisket takes me 30-60 minutes to prep, plus another 12-14 hours on the smoker and another 2 hour minimum rest. If they don’t appreciate it, definitely leave it for yourself lol.
Butts are way easier and more people seem to like it.
When did you get on carnivore? I got started October 1st, 2023 and it’s been great. I’ve been slacking a bit the last week or so with the holidays but not too bad. I definitely prefer carnivore and it’s easier for me to stick to.
I started about 3 1/2 months back. I’ve enjoyed it. Ate a little sweet stuff over holidays but for the most part I’ve stayed on track. I’ve lost around 20 pounds and slimmed up noticeably. Also feel really good. That’s the main reason I did it.
If your doing carnivore and looking for snack ideas, I recently found the following for family gatherings:
Little Smokies, wrapped in regular sliced bacon (cut strips in 1/3rds)c place in casserole dish and sprinkle with golden monk fruit and bbq seasoning. Then bake in oven at 375 for 25-30 minutes (til bacon is brown and crispy like you prefer). Everyone loved them and it checks the boxes for carnivore.
I think Dr Shawn Baker has something similar to that in one of his YouTube videos. Haven’t tried it but I just try it next time I make pork belly.
Also, try carnivore ice cream!

Finished one in aluminum foil pan and one in butcher paper. The crowd of family and friends were all pleased.
Only second time doing a brisket so I’m happy with it. It has good flavor and would have been great if it was still warm from the grill. But I’m saving it for the week. It was a small one and I think I let it cook a little too long though. 🤙🏻

Awesome! Did you let the brisket rest min 2 hours? Also, letting it rest in tallow helps, especially if you don’t have the full packer or if it’s low on fat.
How’d the family like it?
Yes I let it rest in the butcher paper in a cooler for probably 6 hrs. I took it off and then we left for lunch at another family member’s house.
Everyone loved it but I probably shouldn’t have it in there that long.
Should be fine, I’ve left it there about 6 hours before and it was be of the better ones I’ve done. Hard to say if it was the rest of what though.
