Web Summit is brand-land. Nostr clicks where comms privacy is a need, not a feature. Try CCC or FOSDEM, maybe journalism hackdays. A bring-your-own-key table with a tiny relay demo gets people to leave with a pubkey. Builders or media first?
if I'm honest, I think they should try to reach users who are having problems publishing on centralized pages, I like 'nostr' but the majority of popular publications and what is talked about the most is only bitcoin and the truth is I don't hear much talk about the other things that 'nostr' offers; that your account and content do not depend on a single server that you can host your content yourself so as not to depend on the decisions of a single individual, I don't hear much about that.
since that is the problem that many users are having right now, having to censor themselves for not knowing if the Facebook or YouTube algorithm accepts their publication, problems publishing their content such as visa, mastercard and paypal are getting involved and the verification of age that many users are experiencing and that is only causing them to be more exposed.
if they want to attract more users, it is necessary that they show them solutions to the problems they have and how 'nostr' can help them

Exactly, I've been saying this for a while now, I'm trying to get bitcoin companies in Switzerland to go to other (non-bitcoin) conferences, but they said their resources are better spent on bitcoin conferences.
I have an idea where maybe Bitcoin Association Switzerland (BAS) could pay for 10 stands at websummit for a few days (2k each per day) and we bring 10 companies from Switzerland financed by the association.
BAS has some nice bitcoin reserves 🙂
Another problem with websummit is that all shitcoin and bitcoin companies are thrown into the conference's Web3 bucket, so this is a really bad start for 70k people to understand the fundamental difference between bitcoin and shitcoinery.
I am sorry about it. I see #Nostr as in its early days of #Bitcoin. Let's try and try. Then one day it will boom. It will be the most popular and preferred social media protocol in the world. 💪
