Is there a #golfstr outing?
All your base are belong to us!

I want pizza!
Game day is just around the corner.
Pushing the launch of Rustr back 6 months was not the plan but WoT is too important to launch without. Global feeds a prone to unwanted content. Sick people are going to do sick things. Although some of these posts make their way onto bigger clients, I can't onboard people knowing it's there.
I'll add that block to my calendar.
If you have any other problems just tag me. I'll be happy to solve them for you.
If you put the mason jar inside that steel jug and put the steel jug inside your milk crate, I think you have a optimal solution to prevent air leaks.
Have you tried a more durable container like a airtight steel milk jug instead of a fragile mason jar?
Hear me out... Wrap the jug in cling wrap...
Agreed. Thanks for your input on this. Simple is good.
For DIDs I was actually thinking Ion, not a native Nostr DID. Its simple in the sense that keys and WoT are Nostr related but it gets complicated because Ion requires their own keys. I'd have think more about the decentralized lists and key rotation.
In my mind, having Ion DIDs allows a user to rotate keys easier than a Nostr native solution. I'm not sure how a Nostr native solution could work if the primary key pair is compromised. Frostr could possibly come into play. Having a 2/2 or 2/3 multisigs on a decentralized list could be one way to do this.
Does the steel jug have a airtight lid or top? Let's figure this one out.
Been thinking about the #wotathon and the only thing that really comes to mind besides a "super relay" is the need for DIDs on Nostr.
At a basic level, your DID document replaces nip5 and nip65. It can contain multiple npubs that a user can rotate as needed. Primary/backup account, serious/shit posting account. Key rotation is important. You shouldn't lose your reputation if your keys become compromised.
Verified credentials allow users to read personal relays. WoT service providers can issue credentials to their users or perks for those who are reputable.
Npubs become one of your identifier, not your identity. WoT scores become tied to DIDs not a npub. Making them more portable and useful in other protocols that utilize DIDs.
Nostr can become the driving force of WoT in a interoperable DID landscape. Your reputation should not be limited to a single protocol.

That backdrop is awesome. Nostr definitely needs some new faces, diversity of thought and ideas. Appreciate those taking the harder route to onboard new users.
Same overall feel. The code base is much cleaner, structured and optimized for mobile. Huge setback but worth it in the long run.

Plebs are building some pretty awesome stuff these days for Nostr just by vibe coding. One thing we discovered from Nostr Valley last month is Rustr by nostr:npub1057d3g2zw9w4ns8fq43yka3per9s2z9zmp4ryncgqqvv6e42tjrqnrxgd7 ! https://youtube.com/shorts/yi78YO53oZY?feature=share
Thanks for the shout out!
One days I'll have a client live. Not anytime soon though. I pretty much started over.
I'm trying out a start9 or umbrel style mini pc for a small scale client launch. Theres like 12 vms in the solution and its all nostr based. The idea is that the client runs as a nsite on the blossom server. With a mobile app you just sync with your node and now only connect to my client that you host. Public and tor access both have their own vms for access to a relay, blossom, bunker.
I've been using it for a few days. Part of me really likes it. Splitting up personal and work vms for basic tasks and file management is a great concept. My files folder on Fedora is a disaster. I had to enable copy/paste cross vms which was my first "oh shit" moment. All apps were installed to personal. They belong in templatevm. Conceptually I really like it but can't wait to go back to Fedora. I'm just playing around with a deployment suite for some nostr things.
I'll have to try out a real world test this weekend and report back. I have a lot of Nostr catch up to do. So far the relay works fine but I have a bug in the sync to sort out. When is the deadline for the hackathon? I'm more interested in listening to presentation than submitting.
What do you think of a hybrid solution? Last weekend I researched a few graphs to use. I settled on Cozo + sqlite. I think it solves the overhead you described. There's no need for batching. I vibed this once I picked what I thought was the optimal solution.
Yes. Lol. The mini PC I bought needed some custom configs. Finally when I figured out the right ones it downloaded with no default vms. Reinstalling it currently. Hopefully I get those defaults. I've realized why it's not adopted 😂
3 hours to install a operating system is not a good start.

Bought a mini PC to do some testing on. God damn windows sucks. After running Linux for about 5 years, I have no idea how people put up with that shit. Quebes is almost done installing. 😎
cozo is cool
By far the best experience for onboarding new people to Nostr.
Distribute the central points of Nostr.
I've looked into it but I never really got past a single peer relay that recognized when it got a note.
