If you donโt hear from me for a while, itโs because Iโm in mourning.
Just lost my baby girl.
It was a beautiful 12 years. Shred in peace ๐๐๐

oh my #karaokestr you shall be missed baby girl
omg. Dang this is so sad.
RIP
Seems repairable?
Sad nonetheless
I will probably take it in, but the wood is sooo cracked (kind of hard to see).
Glue
Too much Tenacious D is the only thing that could rend a guitar like that. The chords and lyrics are far too powerful.
That being said, that can def be fixed.
How much do you think they will charge though and like how long would it take? The wood is all cracked and the little knobby things are too.
Welp, looks to me like if you pulled out the bridge pins carefully, (would probably take some pliers) You could use wood glue and put it back together yerself. Glue it, position it back into place, mush it down really hard til everything lines up right, then set something really heavy on top of it so it holds it together. Go back the next day and string that puppy back up. That's what I'd do. It would at least look happy again for display but I'm willing to bet it'll play. Just not so Tenaciously...
You also have to weigh the potential cost vs the value of the guitar. Sentimental value is priceless, but it being what it is, a Washburn acoustic, it might not be worth a couple hundred bucks to fix. Not that know what they'd charge. I would just glue the crap out of it, because that's all they're going to do anyway, maybe just prettier.
So thatโs what I was thinking, that it will cost more to have it fixed than itโs worth and should probably just buy a new one
Yep, it's a sign from the gods of music. They ripped your old axe asunder so that you may forge a new path in the fires of rock.
And.. still fix it and hang it up somewhere. Put your autograph on it and it's RIP date. It will still resonate there as you shred into new dimensions. Not like you can sell it.
We did it ๐ช๐ฝthank you ๐งฉ
