My dream truck is 30 years old.

Do you ever think they'll make cars that look good again or is it too late?

Nope, just wait til you can design and small build one yourself! With the help of a medium sized car shop and some crazy 3D printers.

Now that's a sick optimistic future

Get it, they aren’t making anymore. I did the same thing earlier this year with a Land Cruiser. Putting a lot of capital into rebuilding it, but worth it…everything today looks worse, runs on complex electronics that make them fragile, and have a centralized kill switch. Don’t even hesitate on this

What model!?🤯

80 series. 225k miles. I’m currently in the process of swapping in a rebuilt turbo-diesel engine and manual transmission

Hellll yeah, i run a 90 series myself! Today, Tomorrow, Toyotaāš”ļøāš”ļø

Gl on your projectšŸ’«

Love the 90 too, awesome. I still want a 60 someday, a Saudi version in a manual

Those are rare man, but seen a couple lately. The ones you do see, MINT condition. Awesome trucksšŸ¤ŒšŸ¼šŸ§”

When Ford came out with these I thought there was hope to bring back some classics.

That's new?

I’m not much of an electric car guy but if brands rolled out classics like this to push electric I’d be more open to it

It’s too late. All the new cars look like sci-fi concept cars.

I do currently but want older

That’s the right attitude!

Gorgeous

For just $10k, this new truck may suit the bitcoiner minimalist ethos. Some won't like it, but others will appreciate the emphasis on utility over form, appearance, bells & whistles, not to mention the mechanical (not electronic) design that harks back to 90s-era (and older) F-350s and the like.

Seems promising!

It's great to see but I likely won't be buying one

Are you going with the 7.3 liter international diesel motor?

Some how I remember those coming with a 7.3 liter navistar international motor…

But per Brave AI

The 1987 Ford F-350 was offered with several engine options, including a 4.9L I6, a 5.8L V8, and a 7.5L V8. The 4.9L I6 was available with electronic fuel injection starting in 1987, while the 5.8L V8 and 7.5L V8 were equipped with a four-barrel carburetor. Additionally, the 1987 model year also offered a 6.9L diesel engine as an option.

Well engine choice is important in those…

Perfection.

Yes.

Once we're on a bitcoin standard, people will focus more on value for value and things that last.

Be optimistic 😌

We’re shifting to a world with better quality stuff

the best part is you can get the collector plate and not pay for tabs every year

No.

Too late… a beauty

I’ve been working on my 1990 F-150 for the last few years. Love it more and more. I like the idea of https://www.slate.auto/en - stripped out all the bells and whistles.

That is a sweet truck!

Too late.

It will take another 20+ years before we might produce something with that level of durability and serviceability again.

Nah, it's only downhill since the 90s.

Exactly?

The steering radius sucks ass in these trucks. But overall, they rock

A lot of my 'dream' things cost less than the average lifestyle.

Dream Citadel - less than a detached home in Toronto.

Dream Vehicle - less than a brand new economy car

Dream Lifestyle - less than the average Canadian's take home pay.

Often life's simple, we just make it harder than it needs to be.

They might make them again on a Bitcoin standard
