Last week or 2 weeks ago i saw someone mentioning the flat earth !

i dismissed it before !

Now i am 10 - 15 hours in

and i am 50 /50 now.

i mean its a extremely algo censored topic !

Why that ?

Hardest Argument:

You can zoom in on a 10 to 100 miles away object !

The curve should drop the object 800 to 80 000 inch !

( Nikon P1000 about 100x to 120x zoom)

Another hard Argument:

gyroscopes !

This 2 observations alone

you have to assume

the earth is flat.

We all agree on bitcoin mostly.

But what else do we agree on ?

A flat earth violates a fundamental truth though: the universe demands the lowest energy state it can find and in a medium like space in zero G the lowest energy state of malleable objects (like water, sand, or molten rock) is sphericle.

I believe the model that my own eyes show me.

Moon is round.

Earth's shadow on the moon is also round.

All the other planets are round.

To date there has never been a single shred of evidence to support the flat earth.

but after 20 miles you get a drop of height because of the curve

and if you calculate this you wouldnt see small ships anymore

the drop at 20 miles out

should be around 200 feet !

so a normal size boot you shouldnt see with the zoom cam !

The “Big Bang” still requires a Big Banger - so there’s no reason to nullify the existence of God, which then invalidates the entire straw man set up here to knock down a spherical Earth hypothesis. There’s no reason to believe Flat Earthers when their best defense is almost always centered on the straw man structures used for the exact same fallible arguments of atheist evolutionists against the existence of God.

Mind you, I’m not even arguing for a spherical Earth here. I’m simply pointing out the stupidity of this manner of arguing for a Flat Earth. Do better next time.

So, I'm agnostic. This is an honest question and not some sort of "gotcha!". Why the big bang requires a big banger, but god requires no creator? God is eternal, but how or why? Maybe the universe is eternal and it goes from big bang to big crunch eternally.

If I presume what you mean by the Big Bang is the typical scientific definition, then the Big Bang is creation of nothing to something. Non-material, non-existence to material existence. (And no need to argue down the rabbit holes of string theory or multi-dimensional universe theories - that’s just adding pointless layers of recursion on top of the primary point here.)

God is not defined in material terms, so there need not be anything preceeding God. It is from God which all things, whether immaterial, material, or spiritual come from. In Christian parlance: “In the beginning, God…”

Hope that helps frame for you my original argument. 🤙

Oh, and to address your “Big Bang to Big Crunch ad infinitum” idea: that would require a mathematically impossible level of order and design (based on even the most generous age of the universe of -14.6B yrs; and it could be as little as several thousand years depending on your level of interpretation of the Bible) to BOTH events, infinitely, which essentially requires a God untethered to any universe to keep such a cycle from collapsing into full random nothingness.

I know the earth is not flat because I can see the earth's shadow on the moon.

Also sunrise and sunset exist, they wouldn't exist under the flat earth model.

Also the fact that every indigenous culture thinks the earth is round.

Literally just the Catholic church (who no longer claim the earth is flat anyway)

And the CIA(who obviously only claim the earth is flat as a disinformation psyop to break up the 9/11 truth movement)

Ok, so your premise is that we can't trust anything that's observable.... so then how do you gather any evidence at all.

To be clear, I'm not talking about images from NASA, I mean I have a telescope and can look out into the cosmos and observe the celestial bodies myself. Even without a telescope, the lunar phases in conjunction with the position of the sun indicate that the moon is a sphere
