Nostr clients with proprietary wallets that softly force you to use them is not a nice move.

That's a bit naughty! Fuck that shit.

Already uninstalled the shit.

I don't blame you.

YOU SHOULD blame him because he is misjudging without investigating we never do such things and we never did we are here ready to fix or investigate any feedback from users if there is. We don’t even know what he did exactly to reproduce this issue and he is refusing to cooperate I already explained to him in which scenarios this case should happened if it happened on something he should provide a well formed feedback than keeping bluffing around. We don’t tolerate any kind of this behavior.

You also have pretty poor customer service skills if you're coming here and attacking people obviously having problems using your product. Just based on this interaction, I'm far less likely to use your client.

Clearly this answers show they have a very poor customer service skills and lack of communication, they should be silently trying to investigate what really happened instead of ranting here.

when you know how to report your issues in manners, we will gladly do this. You are saying i’m uninstalling this shit and you are expecting people to talk with you normally ? Which plnet you are coming from ?

You do realise that customers are always right no matter how they're voicing their concern? Customer support however is held to a higher level when communicating with customers even if the customers way of raising a complaint could be done in a more polite way or in a better manner?

We’ve been dealing with customer supports regardless of any situations, however all what i’m saying is that: know whats happening first then decide, not describing a client as a shit of accusing it of wrong doing that does not exist and fyi we have talked with him in good manner you can check up the feed by yourself.

Users owe you nothing. You cannot mandate them to “know what’s happening”. You cannot expect them to not be alienated from the production process.

This is not a matter of morals, it’s a matter of you hurting your own business.

By discussing morality and how harsh feedback causes stress (it really does), instead of getting to the point and gettin actual information, you are actually losing two battles at the same time.

As a token of good will: I never used YH, I’ll download it later today and see what happens on my end.

That would be great thanks it would be great if you tagged nostr:npub16vjln603hfsfhremp627jle4ycm6p23grjjqrm04rrdwupldyfnsjx88a2 if you found anything from your end thanks again 🙏

The whole phrase is "the customer is always right in matters of taste". But I agree that they could be handling this with more poise.

having problems = define the problems = report them. Not saying we are soing this intentionally and talking shit about a client like this. Olease understand the full story before coming in here and making opinions if tho you are free to do so.

I mean, yeah, “uninstalling that shit” is a bit mean. But reacting this way to a rant? To a user’s rant? Believe me that is not such a good idea.

Users being harsh and having valuable information are not mutex. Maybe it’s your first time shipping to users… in that case, welcome to software development 😁.

Thank you for your concerns, the case has been descalated and we mean no grudge in here we are all discussing for a good cause thats all 🙏

🫡Hope all gets solved.

If will most definitely, we are here to provide for the cause 🙏

He literally just told you three times what happened to him and how he's reproducing the process.

And we asked him 3 times did he create a wallet not. Im just gonna leave this here for reference.

DONT shit things you didnt have feedback about shit. IF an issue is found we are gladly to see whats happening however dont start bluffing around and blame. You have no idea what is happening on this app and you are coming and misjudging. Be careful of what you are saying.

At least they don't change your wallet just for logging in to their client.

Actually yeah I just tested, if you go through the full onboarding process or set up their wallet at a later time, this automatically sets your receipt address to the internal wallet.

I had another wallet setted up, and did not changed anything, just logged in to the client using my signer, when discovered the issue re tested and happened again, it just changed my wallet address.

Yeah that def shouldn’t happen!

SINCE we are making the onboarding easy for user they have the option to create a wallet -> hence automatically link it however this is ONLY for new created accounts. If you found an issue does not mean that the devs are forcing perhaps its caused by something else DONT accuse without confirming what is happening.

if the onboarding is for a new account and the user decided to create a wallet we ease the steps for him by linking the wallet directly so he can start receiving zaps immediately because the steps are way confusing for normies. IF NOT, nothing will changed at least thats the behavior we tested, however it seems that mr. pattern in here is partially reporting cases where we don’t know exactly what he did. No need for the grudge in here.

I didn't do any onboarding or setting up any new account or wallet, just logged in using my signer as usually do with every other client and realised that this happened, changed my wallet to the one I was using and logged in again in your client to check if that happens again and it did, so I'm not misjudging anything, just described what already happened.

Describing is one thing and uninstalling this shit is another thing. We dont do any of these things bud just to clarify things around. If something is glitching there is now wrong with it in fact we appreciate it just in the right manners.

I would like to apologise for describing the app as shit because of the problem, but the official replies don't incentive me to reinstall the app and try it again.

you are free to do so or not its up to you and your applogy is accepted and we are also sorry that you faced such thing but we truly dont do such things perhaps there is a bug somewhere thats all. We are more than happy to fix this and provide the best service the people can get as much as we can but hearing words like this can be devastating you have no clue how much efforts is inserted into this.

I use Yakihonne on mobile and on desktop with my main npub and I have not had my Lightning address replaced. So it doesn't happen automatically. Maybe if you go through the process of creating a NWC wallet, the onboarding is assuming if you created a NWC wallet that you want to use it? I have only created NWC wallets on Yakihonne with new nsecs. So I cannot comment on creation with my npub but I will go and test that right now.

It did not happened before just realised the problem today when I just logged in to the app on my phone to read a long form note.

Maybe it's a new bug. I logged in via desktop and my Lightning address did not get changed. My Zap wallet is set to WebLN via Alby. My Lightning address seems to be unaffected.

Tested via mobile app on Android. I opened the app viewed my profile, tapped edit even, didn't save anything, tapped wallet, it's set to external wallet, I went through the workflow to add a NWC address, but did not save it, and backed out of settings, my Lightning address is unaffected.

I dunno man.

Did you say that you did create a NWC wallet?

Also are you on iOS or Android?

I'm on android, don't have NWC and logged in using amber

He is using Amber, we are checking this to see this happens without user approval. The usual case scenario is that the user can change his lightining address by change his metadata directly, or select a connected wallet and link it, or through a prompt that appears when you add a new wallet while having an empty lightning address in the metadata.

Other than that we do not override the lightning address without user approval unless we have missed something

PV everyone 🙌 can we all appreciate how amazing it is building on nostr in the open? Where else can you get a response from the devs directly like within an hour 🔥 Props to nostr:npub1yzvxlwp7wawed5vgefwfmugvumtp8c8t0etk3g8sky4n0ndvyxesnxrf8q devs for jumping in and taking the time looking into to the issue. Great client guys, keep building 👏

PV everyone, respect to nostr:nprofile1qqszpxr0hql8whvk6xyv5hya7yxwd4snur4hu4mg5rctz2ehekkzrvcpzamhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurvv438xarj9e3k7mgpr9mhxue69uhkummnw3ezu7n9vfjkget99e3kcmm4vsq3yamnwvaz7tm0venxx6rpd9hzuur4vg5xqmxe Devs sorry for not conducting myself with the manners I'm used to, Just felt annoyed and reacted, please keep building and fixing the bugs that can make a customer have a bad experience like mine.

I am also using Amber. Let me know if there's anything I can do to test too beyond what I've already mentioned above.

Clients actually used to do that. I lost 75K+ sats because of that two years ago.

It already happened to me on early version of Alby but never on a client before

The old Nostr "Telegram" client which I'm drawing a blank on right now for the name 😂 I was just talking about it a month ago with nostr:nprofile1qqsr9cvzwc652r4m83d86ykplrnm9dg5gwdvzzn8ameanlvut35wy3gpz3mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduq3qamnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wwa5kuegpzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurjd9kkzmpwdejhglzevy3. Doh. Anyways, when users signed into it, it wiped out your lightning address and automatically assigned you a custodial LNBits lightning address. I had no clue because I didn't read the events being signed and granted the website via NIP-07 control to make changes to my profile. I realized this happened, nuked my browser cache, and removed permissions for that site. Little did I know, if I had dug into the application data for that site, I would have found the link to it's LNBits install, allowing me access to those sats. I don't remember who, but a kind Nostrich zapped me 75K to buy a beer in Costa Rica. I wouldn't have known this happened if he didn't DM me to tell me to enjoy the beer with the beer money he sent me. I learned a few things through that early experience.

Can you tell us exactly how that happened, which lightning address you found linked to your metadata?

Just logged in to the app and realised in amethyst that the address was changed to some random hash@yakihonne, changed it back and tried it again and it was the same, so I felt annoyed.

So you didn’t create our wallet at all? And yet it changed?

Exactly

Unexpected behaviour, we will check it. If it’s possible, you provide us with a scren shot of wallet tab inside the app, and check if the issue occurs again. Just wanna make sure it happens regardless of the absence of wallets

Dont make accusations without knowing the issue or what you are doing 🙏we are not linking or forcing anyone to use the wallet is totally open and free to use in anyway please keep that in mind 👌
