our damus call this morning got me thinking about decentralized exchanges. nostr is the perfect network for bootstrapping one. you already have trust relations with people, you can build a #robosats-like market on top of this.

all we would need to do is a ship this in our android/desktop app as a #notedeck app for widespread availability. one day...

you seen nostr:npub1m0str0d7z2ww8rdh20t2n9lx520xjwhaq24p68umqp06wwrwtsnqen40un ? it's supposed to be that or so i understand...

is there a UI for it? it easy to use? I don't see any info on their website on how to run it. it looks like you need to run an LND node? this is way too complicated. it needs to be easy so anyone can do it.

if not even you can figure it out right away no wonder seems like isn't going anywhere ... i guess looking at the github will give you more info... im totally clueless and it's way above my tech level https://github.com/MostroP2P

You only need an LND if you're running a Mostro instance. A user doesn't need a node; the idea is to make it as easy as possible. The mobile client is still in alpha, but the protocol is fully functional.

https://github.com/MostroP2P/mostro

that would be dynamite ๐Ÿ’ซ

also looks like last update was 2-3 months ago?

We have an alpha version of the mobile client. If you look closely at the repo, you can see that the WIP branch has updates every week

https://github.com/MostroP2P/mobile/releases/tag/v1.0.0%2B1-alpha-22

I had in the backlog for nostr:nprofile1qqsyx53h3h7ec4fwlspjq0kqec5gv54t7rc48xdtq6q4y94wsw4fnjqprdmhxue69uhkummnw3ezuumpw3ehgunpd35kztnrdakj7qghwaehxw309aex2mrp0yhrq7rrdpshgtnrdakj7qg4waehxw309aex2mrp0yhxgctdw4eju6t09uhgml9t to allow users to create password protected orders. Which can allow to share links with specific people you want to trade with.

I think there is a social part for this we are still not really focusing in, and we basically have all the tools and data in place.

As an example, today I vibe coded a web app to dispkay all NIP-69 orders generated by lnp2pbot and Robosats on clearnet.

Example story:

As someone who does not want to go through exchange PII honeypot database gulag, I would like to buy/sell only within my web-of-trust, so that I reduce my risk of rugpulls.

Password protected trade with one person does not make sense to me. If you already know them; and you have agreed to trade p2p with them, why do you need this feature?

I want to see e.g. by way of my follows list union with vertex WOT nostr:npub1kpt95rv4q3mcz8e4lamwtxq7men6jprf49l7asfac9lnv2gda0lqdknhmz all e.g. 1,000 or whatever number of npubs, not just one npub.

But for your case then you just need to create a NIP-69 event, I'll publish that web I just did soon๐Ÿ˜

Password protected orders might make sense for specific scenarios where people are in the borders of your WOT

https://p2p.band is a vide coded starting point

The npub who is selling the sats can use Atomic Signature Swaps to get a signature from the buyer proving that he receive the funds.

Turnout Coinos wallet work fine .

what animal is this robosat ? I am learning it now go to

https://learn.robosats.org

we are close to have nostr:nprofile1qqsdhc93hklp988r3km4844fjln298nf8t7s92sar7dsqha88ph9cfsppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qy08wumn8ghj7mn0wd68yttsw43zuam9d3kx7unyv4ezumn9wshsxhj39v Mobile app, we are already on alpha stage, coding, testing and fixing ๐Ÿค“

I love the work they did with the Telegram Bot works wonderfully. I am sure that nostr:nprofile1qqsdhc93hklp988r3km4844fjln298nf8t7s92sar7dsqha88ph9cfspz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhsz8thwden5te0dehhxarj9e3xjarrda5kuetj9eek7cmfv9kz7qg4waehxw309aex2mrp0yhxummnw3ezucn89uv7r8lk will be brutal.

Thanks! We're working hard to have it ready asap

What is it written in?

mostro daemon in rust, mobile app on flutter, give it a look

https://github.com/MostroP2P/

Dang boy

Why not Kotlin?

Oh I see some Kotlin

Awesome!

This would be very interesting to see. Definitely needed.

I am quite late on this topic, but... Is there a way that NOSTR can be so private as robosats? Robosats has the Tor network which is very anonymous.
