I don't like the way decisions are taken and knowledgeable people get banned, but I strongly disagree with Mechanic's point that "I don't want to route your transactions because they're spam".
There needs to be a default of routing ALL VALID transactions, otherwise how exactly is the network supposed to work?
For my node, I have 0 incentive to route YOUR transactions, monetary or otherwise, I don't care. I only want mine.
If nodes (node operators) think this way, we won't have any propagation in the end, or we'll pay centralized routing nodes instead of everyone supporting it.
I disagree. I absolutely do have an incentive to relay your transactions because I also want you to relay mine. But if your transactions fills up block space with spam making it harder for me to get my transaction onto a block, I do not want to relay it
Who decides what's spam? I only care if a transaction is valid as per the Bitcoin concensus rules, not what it's used for.
