Is going for the option of allowing larger OP_RETURNS but keeping all other filtering and adding more a complete cop-out of an opinion?
I would like the direction to be for less miner centralization AND less spam.
The reason for going for this would be to make it more likely that spam gets put on OP_RETURN, since that is a way that may not suddenly get filtered out.
Have not thought this through at all :-P

For me one thing was for sure, Shinobi was condescending and calling us stupid. He commented saying who the hell are we to decide what is spam. But who is he to tell me what goes in my node?
I don't like the way decisions are taken and knowledgeable people get banned, but I strongly disagree with Mechanic's point that "I don't want to route your transactions because they're spam".
There needs to be a default of routing ALL VALID transactions, otherwise how exactly is the network supposed to work?
For my node, I have 0 incentive to route YOUR transactions, monetary or otherwise, I don't care. I only want mine.
If nodes (node operators) think this way, we won't have any propagation in the end, or we'll pay centralized routing nodes instead of everyone supporting it.
I disagree. I absolutely do have an incentive to relay your transactions because I also want you to relay mine. But if your transactions fills up block space with spam making it harder for me to get my transaction onto a block, I do not want to relay it
Just listen to this, the more I hear about it, The more I believe this is because ethereum is dying slowly, and they want to migrate, but they are not yet willing to trust Solana.
