Nostr is not a real job. It's entertainment so do not except to make a living wage of it anytime soon.
back in the day, a daily newspaper cost 25 cents... which would equal roughly 216 sats today... and if you had a monthly subscription, that cost would be reduced to roughly $5.00/mo or 17 cents/day, which equals roughly 147 sats today... my point is that if you benefit from the ad-free nostr experience, you should consider financially contributing the cost of a newspaper to the community.
everyone is in a different circumstance, has different resources, is at a different place in their btc journey, has a different justification for zapping, etc... regardless, imo an increase in zaps will help keep nostr's signal strong and build the entire community.
lastly, in my experience, I typically get back what I zap in... in other words, pay it forward and it will eventually come back to you... and if it doesn't who cares... you are a nostr pioneer, helping to build a very valuable freedom tech protocol, and giving is better than receiving... peace.
