well the UK has imported lots of immigrants this past decade so that's probably why that app is popular there. Now that I think about it Canada has too imported tons of immigrants and immigrants have mentioned that app to me before. Most Canadians use Facebook messenger not Whatsapp

oh that's makes sense. In the 3rd world not everyone can afford full blown mobile internet so they just get that Whatsapp plan.
They tried that in developed nations but it didn't work. We can afford full blown internet because we have access to credit but people aren't gonna pay money just to access a app.
