You can create a NWC connection string in your Alby Hub and paste it into Olas. What step doesn't work for you?
Sent you an email.
Alby really has a great flow for onboarding smb right now to the Lightning Network. Shout out nostr:nprofile1qy2hwumn8ghj7etyv4hzumn0wd68ytnvv9hxgqgdwaehxw309ahx7uewd3hkcqpqq5sah9f3p9kl7uqdeaqskqwmg74ktxx70e0093dzh4lpzcp3t0mq29p23s and team.
Lot of other great companies in the ecosystem should look and copy that flow.
🚀
Are you holding a workshop in Floripa?
I would love to connect my wallet to Primal iOS via NWC.
It's in beta and possibly coming in the next version of Alby Hub 🙂
I just signed up for the Alby Hub, their cloud-paid version, not the self-hosted. I’ve been mostly absent from all social media, slowly working my way out of centralized bubbles.
I’ve always had the philosophy that if you're open-source AND give your product for free, so others can self-host or do whatever they want, AND you offer a version that makes my life simpler and allows me to support your business, but it gives me the freedom to do the same on my terms whenever I decide to, then it’s a no-brainer.
I love seeing Alby go self-custodial and allowing this community and this tech to grow, especially for non-tech people like me.
Right after subscribing, they wrote to my alby acct email to check on the process, and with no need to really offer help or answer questions he did.
I really hope to be able to self-host at some point. Then I will find other ways to support them.

It must work 24/7 🙂
Could you send an email with your Alby account email address to support@getalby.com and describe your setup and when the timeouts happen?
Take your time. But I am eager to find out what's actually happening as you say.
Sounds good. Waiting for your email. A screenshot of the Node page would be helpful, too. 🙏
The paid fees are visible in the blockchain explorer. There are no additional fees charged.
I expect that you opened anchor channels which require a reserve to leave room for bumping the fee of the closing transaction. The reserve is not part of the onchain/ savings balance.
I can do that this PM. Here is the tx ID I've shared in this thread. As you can see 150k sats were sent on-chain from my wallet to the hub's wallet: 61e827f73a9fb03ab12edce3a6a3c0399dea4bb33d8a6fbe18a582b401f0c8f6
Here the funding transaction for the zapstream channel. Channel fee 1,590 sats

The remaining balance in the on-chain funding address is 8,002 sats (which, I just noticed yesterday, doesn't even have a withdraw option).
Do you have other channels that you've opened before with your on-chain balance?

Go to "Node" --> "Advanced" --> "Withdraw Savings Balance"
Can you send an email to support@getalby.com with the link to the funding transaction? 🙏
nostr:npub1q5sah9f3p9kl7uqdeaqskqwmg74ktxx70e0093dzh4lpzcp3t0mqzxky65 can you explain this please? I now have a channel opening pending to zapstream for 100k with 8,000 sats of 150,000 sats left in the hub's on-chain wallet. That's an expense of 42k.
If you opened the channel with your own on-chain funds, you only paid the fees for the opening transaction. You can calculate the paid fees by viewing the funding transaction on the Node page.
Own channel also require a reserve of on-chain funds to close the channel again. In Alby Hub these funds are omitted from the balance to avoid that the user spends them accidentally. If you send us an email to support@getalby.com I can research more details
Did you get it working? Could you send some details to support@getalby.com so that we can look into it for you?

This renders a lot of the functioning of the so-called self sovereign Alby Hub very hard to access.

This applies only to Alby accounts. Products like the Alby Browser Extension and Alby Hub, are free, open-source software available to everyone—even without an Alby account.
Alby is promoting and building on open protocols such as nostr:npub19hg5pj5qmd3teumh6ld7drfz49d65sw3n3d5jud8sgz27avkq5dqm7yv9p

It is replaced by Alby Hub (albyhub.com) which means more control, better connections to Nostr apps and Alby Go 📱
