It's a feature that takes time to implement properly. If there is a lot of user demand (seems like there is), then we'll get right on it.
Why can't I use any wallet with Primal? Why do they force Alby or Primal on us?
You can use any NWC wallet with Primal for Android (and soon the Primal web app). Sadly we couldn't get this feature through App Store review on iOS.
How can I use Blue Wallet or Cake WAllet with Primal on Android? It forces Primal or Alby NWC on us now

I’m using Primal as my primary Nostr client. The latest release is awesome and I love that I’m able to use the same (or very similar) client on the web, my iphone and ipad. I’m hosting my own Alby Hub, so having access to the same wallet through NWC makes the most sense for me.

Also please integrate NIP-44 for secure DMs as many people use Primal but can’t easily DM with others outside primal due to unsecure messaging

You can do it today with Primal for Android. Coming soon to our web app. We implemented this on iOS too, but couldn’t get it through App Store review sadly.

IMO they could combine these concepts.
If the built-in wallet backend became NWC enabled, they could then just migrate their frontend to be a NWC (wallet agnostic) UI. By default the UI would plug you into their wallet backend infra, but would give you the option to bring your own backend wallet. Same UI, same codebase, more options

I can use Primal Wallet to zap in the Primal mobile app but not on the Primal web app on desktop. If that would enable web zaps, hell yes.

I am testing as much as I can, but as a feedback, when I was deciding between to upgrade in Alby hub OR paying for Primal premium, I decided the other because two reasons, I was already using their free service (seamed fair), and They had the wallet to allow me to connect without hassle to other apps via NWC.
Primal benefits were AWESOME and is by far my favorite. I really wanted to pay the premium to access better relays(I cant currently afford both), but the having access to other apps via NWC was more important.
Just FYI, love both apps, just giving my feedback as user.
