Just received a call from Apple, I have to remove zaps from posts in the next version

Wow. Lume is a fantastic desktop nostr client. I can't wait for this to get built out a bit more.

Once Lume gets NIP-57 Zaps, NIP-51 Lists, NIP-23 Long form content, and NIP-172 Communities, this will be my go to client. Zaps are coming soon. I don't know if the other types of content are coming soon or not, but it seems logical to add them so you can have them in their own column.

spam is a massive threat to nostr

1. if shitcoin spam can impact nostr this much, imagine what a real threat actor could do

2. pervasive spam invalidates trust from users

3. relay operators are not going to pay to host large scale spam

we need a large bounty or some other way of incentivizing spam mitigation.

The new gmail ads sprayed throughout your inbox instead of at the top really make it a terrible platform. Looking for permanent alternatives... already use proton but need more space

Another thing the apple person said on the call: you can sell physical things with zaps and apple will not take a cut. So stores that sell physical things with zaps is still in play on Damus.

non-physical things like 🐈 photos unfortunately are not allowed unless it’s through apple pay.

Maybe a PWA will be needed in the end if we want to do stuff like that :/

Supposedly there is a way to zap zaps 🤫 but it’s only for those in the know.
